"I am sorry it took me so long to respond to this. I have been traveling all week, and when I got back, my girlfriend had to have emergency surgery on Friday. I spent all weekend with her and didn't know what was happening here.
Let me see if I can clarify a few things. First the customer (horseracing guru) is a notorious past poster. He tries to past post us several times a day. He got lucky on Thursday night because we last our Canterbury park feed at midnight. When he bet the race we were blind and should have given him a time, but the clerk did not. The wager was placed at 12:13 am . The official chart shows the off time at 12:05 am. The wagers were not the usual wagers that this customers makes, and the combinations were not consistant.(this means its unusual to bet across on the # 1 , then key the #1 in exactas and finish with straight tri's 8-7-6 and 8-6-2).
Because the wagers were made after post, when they were graded they were refunded like all past post wagers. The customer called and complained at some point after this. The clerk he spoke to said that he would have a supervisor look into it. I was informed at some point and spoke to my partner about it. We said that though the bet is a blatant past post we took the bet. The customer was paid that afternoon.
What I don't understand is all of this " horseracing guru is a shiil" stuff. What do we gain by having a customer come on here and bash us? The reason that he never posted a screen shot of his bet is because it would show being accepted at 12:13 am . As for him wanting us to pay for some contest or picks I am unaware of this. Its funny that you brought up sportsbook annie. I first saw her(him) post when we ran our hundred for a hundred promo. Several people said that she was a shill for us. When she took horseracing gurus side in our last problem with him nobody seemed to say " hey I guess that she's not a shill." I realize that we are new to the post up business, and to the forums, but I don't see what having somebody bitch about us does to help us. Please explain to me how this helps us.
We try to run a pretty good shop. While some people may not agree with all of our policies ( why don't you take this track, or why don't you have this prop up? etc.) we have always been prompt payers. Any of our customers who request payouts have been paid quickly. Of course we have rules about large payouts needing approval from one of several people. If there was ever a time that none of us was available, a payout might be delayed by an hour or so.
As far as jjgold is concerned I don't quite understand his problem with us. Since we have started our forum presence he has not had anything positive to say about us. Its all ehorse is the best and you guys suck. Talk about someone who might be a shill!!! We are working on our software. When we got into the post up business the one thing we were wrong about was the net. We felt that horse betting is different than sports betting. Almost by definition if you are at the track, you can't wager on line. Because we cater to larger players we felt that they might not be comfortable making large plays over the web. That is why we didn't push the web. But the fact is that it saves a tremendous amount of money to get customers to wager over the web, so we started a web product , and hope to have it improved by del mar/ saratoga. This is the only thing that jjgold has been right about. Our software will improve. Having said that I really hope that he gets a life. I can't imagine that anyone takes him seriuosly. He has no knowledge of our company, customers or business.
