Fellas (and any ladies). Will be flying out Friday morning to go to Charlotte for the entire weekend, and heading up there with 5 other friends. Main purpose of the visit is to watch our Bears on Sunday. Got some front row seats right by the endzone @ Bank of America Field….Section 121, Row 9. I just booked my hotel yesterday @ the Hilton Charlotte Center City…will be staying there all weekend. It’s smack downtown and 0.2 miles from the Stadium, so it doesn’t get more convenient than this.

This is my first time to Charlotte and I’m looking fwd to having a blast. Those of you who are from Charlotte or in the NC (or SC) areas, do you have any suggestions for me? Just to give you a little background….I’m in my early 30’s and single. I obviously love to party so some suggestions on lounges/bar would be great. I’m not huge into clubs anymore…I’m getting passed that stage in my life, lol. Any good restaurant suggestions and any specialty foods I should try? Being from Chicago, you can understand that I’m big on food. Also, any other activities/fun things to do in or near the downtown area?

Appreciate any help/suggestions I can get. Thanks my RX fam!

You are right in the center of downtown... Depends what you like & want to do...If you don't want to cab or drive you're still fine where you are.. Many restaurants & bars within walking distance.. The EpiCentre has plenty of stuff to explore on Trade & College...If you're into gentleman's clubs, which Charlotte is known for, the best one is a 10 minute ride from where you're staying, but there is one within walking distance of Bank of America Stadium...It depends on what you like..I suggest trying barbecue if you like that...

Didn't know Charlotte is known for it. Me and the boys def wouldn't mind visiting there. LOL 1 within walking distance too of the Stadium? That's awesome. Which 1 is that called? I def love BBQ....will try some of that. Can't wait the trip man....I love traveling, period.

varkeyboy: Midwood Smokehouse is about 5 minute cab ride (2 miles) from your hotel.....Mac's Queen City Q on 6th (about 10 minute walk) Mac's on South Blvd (5 minute cab ride) & McCoy's Smokehouse Saloon on Old Pineville (10 minute cab ride) are your best BBQ spots...Midwood is No.1 rated BUT they're all good for different reasons....McCoy's is close to Gold Club (Old Pineville) & Gentleman's Club on Woodlawn...Both are lower end strip clubs but OK....The high end is Men's Club on Tyvola Road....That's about 12 minute cab ride but girls are high end....They serve decent breakfast buffet for $10 between 2-4 AM after they stop serving alcohol Fri & Sat nights..Uptown Caberet is 15 minute walk from your hotel on East Moorehead...High end but tight if crowded...That's one you can walk to from BAS....Epicenter has Mortimer's cafe & Pub, Wild Wing Cafe, Vault, Howl at Moon Whisky River, Suite, Rooftop 210 ALL Pubs & Clubs...You'll also see tons of bars/pubs walking down College, Tryon & Trade... I've worked for the baseball team past three years & love Charlotte...Great southern city..Really growing...

Which gentlemen's clubs are affordable (lower cost) but not so trashy? I know that's kinda tough...cuz usually the low end ones are the trashy ones, lol. Looking fwd to some southern hospitality!! I love me some Southern girls....and many of them seem to love Chicagoans. Thanks for the help man!

Gentleman's & Gold Club are what you described...Not too trashy, you won't get raped as fast $$$$-wise & can have some fun...Other two clubs the girls are high end.....You'll spend! They do have Uber in Charlotte...My neighbor runs a limo business, so IF you want the number for him or another friend of mine in limo business let me know....Both are reasonable & don't have to deal with UBER guys...There are also tons of cabs downtown & a limo company I believe operates from your hotels too..Not sure which one though....I'm in NY area right now...May be back there for weekend.....My schedule is crazy...Go Bears!
