TROPICANA: Not accepting any convention bookings past April, 2004.
Speculation is that major redevelopment is going to take place. Maybe
even demolition of one or two of the existing towers.

VENETIAN: Confirms that the Guggenheim Museum which housed the
Art of the Motorcycle Exhibit is closed permanently and will be
converted into a theater featuring Broadway shows. The conversion will
cost $25 million. The opening date has not yet been decided. The other
museum, the Guggenheim Hermitage Museum, located at the entrance
to the Venetian, remains open.

glass Tower, with 8,000 permanent employees, 2,701 hotel rooms and
suites, a 111,000-square-foot casino, 18 restaurants including six
fine dining, three-acre pool, luxury spa, a 2,080-seat showroom, many
brand-name high-end retail stores, the strip's only 18-hole golf
course, an art gallery, Ferrari and Maserati car dealerships and a
water-based, $24 million, production show much like "O". An
eight-story mountain in the front of the property will enclose a
three-acre lake. A Steve Wynn project, so you know it will be
exquisite! Major site work has started with humungous construction
cranes on site. The huge hole for the lake is done and the canons
which will shoot the water in the air (as at Bellagio) are visible.
