TradingSports Signs 5 Year Contract With CRIS
Thursday July 24, 2:40 am ET

Edited Press Release
LONDON -(Dow Jones)- TradingSports Exchange Systems said Thursday that it has signed a five year exclusive contract with Costa Rica International Sportsbook, or CRIS, one of the largest offshore bookmakers in the world.

TradingSports said the contract will further strengthen its portfolio of global exchange partners.

Established in 1984 and currently operating out of Costa Rica, CRIS is a high- profile Sportsbook with an annual turnover in excess of $1bn, TradingSports said.

It added that CRIS is widely recognised as the sportsbook responsible for setting the North American bookmaking markets, determining the odds and betting lines faster than other bookmakers.

TradingSports said the five year exclusive contract marks CRIS's first venture into the fast-growing P2P betting market and will enable its customers to place in-running bets on a wide range of sporting events, including the forthcoming NFL and basketball seasons.

The exchange will be launched Thursday on CRIS's website www.betcris.com.
Joe Tighe, TradingSports Exchange Systems' chief executive, said the signing up of CRIS will significantly enhance the liquidity of the TradingSports global exchange.

"As outlined in our flotation earlier this year, our strategy remains to consolidate our leading position in North America, the largest online betting market in the world, provide the pooled liquidity which access to such partners provides, and increase our market share in other fast growth territories," Tighe said.

I have to congratulate CRIS for the foresight of getting into the in-running betting side of sportsbetting. This type of betting is growing in popularity.

I wonder what would happen if I opened a site betchris, or betcriss then signed some sort of partnership with an exchange, let's say betfair.

Think anyone would confuse me with the real cris?

Figure after 20 years in business the least they could do is come up with an original name rather than trying to leech off of other's efforts.

My hat's off to CRIS.

These guys not only have the strenght to remain the strongest ever in a market that is a war, but they also have the vision most people lack.

Even if it's true that the American market is saturated, these type of betting model has already been proven successful by other companies such as Betfair.

Just a quick example:

I thought Costa Rica -in the Snoopy Cup- getting +370 had value, then miamiman accurately reported I could get down on the same side getting +520 in Betfair.(BTW, thanks a bunch, brotherman

Not only does this type of Sport Exchange model offer more value, you KNOW the money is there. Cash is an inevitable ingredient in this mix. No cash up front, no action.

Right as it is today, many of the strongest books today are also laying hard somewhere else. If that's not arbitraging, then nothing will ever be. And Sport Exchanges are all about ARBITRAGING.

Based on my personal experience, I would say these exchanges have one flaw: the PUNTERS get the advantage, simply based on more liquidity to be able to speculate further in the "game". But that's what this is all about: capitalist progression.

Congrats BetCRIS for having the bucks, the brains and the balls to make a vision come true. I'd dare to say that within the next 3 years, you guys will find out the Sport Exchange model is infinitely safer and more profitable for both, the book and the sharp player.

And here. When is SPIVE gonna be UNbanned?

Wack's post here is very informative too.

I think she should be allowed back. She was a great poster, anal, true; but that can only be good in a chick.

Let SPIVE back in

Over a billion in handle eh, that about twice WWTS.

Didn't realize they were that huge.

Does anyone do more?

I would guess Pinny or Grande might be up there.

Interesting ... I just got this E-Mail from WITEuro (Horizon 20 Group):

"Dear Client

As you may have noticed we have been making some changes to our software in
recent weeks and I am pleased
to inform you that these changes are very nearly complete.
WitEuro has teamed up with the Trading Sports Exchange Betting platformand we feel that this
will create far more opportunities for
our valued clientele to wager with us and will also provide many more sporting
events to bet on.

The final upgrades to the software will be made on Sunday the 27th of July and
the system will be up and running
in time for the tennis tournaments in Sopot, Los Angeles and Washington that
start on Monday. I regret to inform
you that the finals from Umag, Kitzbuhel and Indianapolis will not be available
due to the work being completed.

I would like to thank you for your patience during this period of time and look
forward to being able to welcome you
to the new software on Monday.

Regards

Tom Roberts

I just logged in to WITEuro.

It looks like this TradingSports is a centralized betting exchange which provides "interfaces" for different sportsbooks to link to them (CRIS, WITEuro, etc.). I assume I would see the same odds if I had an account at CRIS and logged into it.

Might be interesting.

This is great news! Ive been putting in a lot of action at tradesports this past month, and love the look of the betting exchange. If you have never tried tradesports go to the betting screen its a lot easier to read and understand, at least for me it is. You watch, come football season you'll be able to play sides around even money (around -103 after their cut)here.
