BTW, Intrade is not closing up. Tradesports spun off Intrade a couple years back to do non-sports markets, like politics. I guess they want to focus on Intrade.

I bet Matchbook took a healthy chunk of their market share.

Sounds just like today's Matchbook... hard to fund !

I think funding was maybe a part of the problem, but not the main problem. It was liquidity. Just didn't have a lot of traders. Matchbook has way way more trading activity and has a much easier interface to use.
