I predict that if tomorrow’s stage doesn’t decide who wins the Tour, it’ll come down to the individual time trial. This has really been a 2 dog race for the yellow Jersey.
Todays stage didn’t change anything in the Yellow Jersey race. Once again we had a big crash early on that was caused by a spectator interfering in race. Vingegaard had no trouble controlling Pogacar’s attack on the finishing summit finish. Tommorrow is rest day before the Individual Time Trial. Pogacar’s conservative action seems to indicate he thinks he can overtake Vingegaard in the ITT. Both Cyclists are excellent Time Trialists so I’m not so sure who’s the better.

Wow ! Jonas Vingegaard simply blew away the field in today’s time trial !
So much for Pogacar’s cat and Mouse game of gaining a few seconds here and there. Vingegaard won th Stage handily and gained a whopping 1.38 minutes on Pogacar ! Simply unbelievable to pretty much everyone including me. Baring a crash or a total collapse on the upcoming mountain stages, I suspect Jonas Vingegaard won the Tour De France today !

wtf...that was spectacular . Congrats to Team Jumbo-Visma. He rides a Cervelo S-5. Cervelo's birth was in Canada. It's now owned by a Dutch company

congrats Jonas

Yes what a stunning effort today. Tomorrow will be another tough Mountain stage. Pogacar will have no choice but to go all out and hope Vingegaard breaks. However based on what I’ve seen so far, I doubt he will falter.

Well there’s no other way to express what happened today but to steal a phrase from the legendary Harry Carey “:Holy Cow “. Tadej Pogacar cracked big time on the last grueling climb and is now 7:35 behind Vingegaard. This race really was over yesterday when Jonas Vingegaard simply demolished the field. What is overlooked, about yesterday’s Time Trial is the fact that Pogacar didn’t have a bad Time Trial. As a matter of fact he finished second with a full minute lead over the rest of the field which is a huge gap in a time trial ! I’ve never seen anything like the dominance displayed by those two in yesterday’s ITT.
Yes the thought entered my mind on whether they were getting some help if you know what I mean. Today before this stage, they were both subjected to a drug test. I certainly hope the days of the use of steroids in Tour De France is in our rear view window !
Felix Gall won today’s stage I almost neglected to mention after such a decisive day on the toughest day of this year’s Tour some will say !
I prefer the mountain top finishes ! LOL

Tomorrow will be strickly for the sprinters and by far the best is Jasper Philipsen ! It would be a huge upset if he doesn’t win tomorrow’s stage 18.

Big mistake by the Sprint teams today ! It’s something I have almost never seen before as the sprint teams allowed a 4 man breakaway steal the stage win. I said it would be a huge upset IF Jasper Philipsen didn’t win today’s stage. Well he actually did win again …… except he only beat the other sprinters ! The sprint teams miscalculated the escapees and Kasper Asgreen stole the stage win. The sprinters were only a few, bike lengths behind but 4 th place finish by Philipsen was a huge disappointment!
im sure they will hear about it from their team leaders !

Tomorrow’s stage is probably going to be a contest once again between a breakaway group and the Sprinter teams. After yesterday's embarrassing miscalculation, my money is on the sprinters. Jasper Philipsen is the best sprinter by far so he’s my pick to win stage 19 this Friday.

Almost an exact duplicate of yesterday’s stage ! 3 man breakaway escaped and once again the sprint teams were out of luck running them down. Very weird!

Today’s stage 20 was the last day in the Mountains preceding tomorrow’s finish in Paris. Tadej Pogacar won the stage with Vingegaard right on his wheel ! I wasn’t really surprised as it was his redemption Day for a very disappointing finishing days where he got buried in the ITT and when he cracked on the following Grueling steep Mountain stage. Hats off to Pogacar for a gutsy comeback and of course Vingegaard for a great performance throughout this year Tour ! He is one of the greatest ever in my opinion and I wonder how many more tours he’s destined to win ! I almost forgot to mention that Felix Garr finished second on today’s stage.

Paris finish tomorrow and the glory day for the Sprinters. Jasper Philipsen will be out to redeem himself for two previously bungled sprints in which all the sprint teams misjudged the breakaways! Is it possible to screw up again. I’ve never seen it happened but it’s been a strange Tour !

TDF is over with Jonas Vingegaard pretty much easily dominating the field. Jasper Philipsen wins the Green Jersey for best Sprinter.
tadej Pogacar finishes second once again. See you all next year !
Good Luck in all your wagers!
