Since I have been told my quizes are too easy, let's try this one.....What do Juan Encarnacion, Robert Fick, Randall Simon, Mark Redman and Jeff Weaver have in common? (other than they are all playing in the baseball postseason for the first time)

Funksoulbrother: You guys are too tough. You were the first one to get the correct answer. I bet the Tigers sure would like to have these guys back on the team. JoeWagner, you were just a tad late.

Strut/fish:
Encarnacion (19 HR, 94 RBI)
Fick (11 HR, 80 RBI)
Simon (16 HR 72 RBI)
Redman (14 W 9 L , 3.59 ERA)

These guys would only count for 2 or 3 wins more. You should check the Tigers final stats. Besides Demitri Young, the batters would have more RBI that ANY of the regulars and Redman would be the ACE of the pitching staff

I think Jeff Weaver wishes he stayed in Detroit..he might find his 3.00 ERA form instead of the 284234923.00 ERA form

He reminds me of Jimmy Haynes...

I think Weaver has the "stuff" to be a No.2 or No.3 pitcher, but maybe not in New York.

For any team playing below .500 baseball that is thin in the starting pitching department.
