I watched the game off and on and saw several stupid plays by the Twins. Castillo takes two called strikes in the first few innings, Punto dives to first trying to beat out an infield grounder (you only dive to first when trying to avoid a tag. diving slows you down), of course Hunter's ill-advised dive after the line drive and Nathan's wild pitch in the 9th. Why throw a splitter when there's a runner on third? It's a pitch prone to getting by the catcher, which it did. I know it's easlier to watch and criticize than play, but these guys are pros and should be smarter. The Twins may have had a great regular season, and from what I've heard played very smart, but in the first two games of this series, their baseball "I.Q." is moron range.
