The yanks look like a team that is not well coached, they can't move a runner up, the hitters are all going up there trying to hit homeruns, Torre is to blame, he is so overrated and needs to take a hike.

agreed, his 4 rings mean nothing, it's his fault this lineup of "all stars" can't score a run off kenny rogers...

How is it the coach's fault? The lineup just isn't producing. Arod is a little bitch that can't get a hit to save his life, and isn't a true 3rd baseman. Their bats are stacked, but their pitching is weak. Until management changes, the yankees wont even smell another world series. They need to rebuild their farm system, build for the future, and stop paying people $800M a year to strike out 4 out of 5 times at bat.

I wish every day that the sox got arod instead. He'd be a much better fit there, and maybe we could have gotten crawford to be a pinch hitter instaid

this game and series is far from over but I totally agree with most of the angry sentiments expressed here. arod, randy johnson, loads of money that could have been better spent elsewhere. Guys like giambi ,despite a rough series,at least get on base and are not afraid to take a walk,or spend some money and sign a juan pierre to get on base, some relievers like k-rod from the angels .the yankees have the money but have blown alot of it.build a team around a truly great player like derek jeter and get rid of this wasted money. this game is far from over though.you watch.

torre shoulda pulled unit in the sixth after the lead off hit. I definitely think 2 more runs are because of torre.

yesterday leyland pulled verlander in the middle of a count. good move.

who the hell is in that kenny rogers uniform, he never played like that for mets or yanks

lets not forget he left mussina in there when he was laboring and let him him give up a two run lead, and let him pitch to granderson when everyone and their mother knew mussina was done, and then he pulled wang in the first game when he was absoluteley cruising, so lets see leave a pitcher in who is laboring, and pull a pitcher when he is dominating, most overrated coach, not just in baseball but in all sports, he needs to be gone, along with arod, trade arod and get some arms and bring in girrardi and you will win it next year.

I defenitly agree that whoever gets girrardi is going to get a good pick up.......and he would be very welcomed by the yankee fans

think of this lineup on the yankees and the money spent on this team, from 1-9 there is not a hitter out there who wouldnt be a star on most teams and they are not capable of putting one run on the board.
ONE RUN.
A SHUTOUT!!!! unreal.
I bet steinbrenner is fuming

girardi would fit amazingly well back in the bronx. Cashman & Steinny must be pondering this.

Please steinbrenner, no more torre & trade arod to the mets for david wright

never seen a bunch of great hitters look so bad and unproffessional with their approach, when I saw bernie come up with matsui on second and no outs and make absoluteley no attempt to hit the ball to the right side I knew the yanks were in trouble, and he is probably their most fundamenatlly sound player.

Yeah I would assume they would have to be pondering that.

But I really don't think the mets are going to trade Arod for Wright
lol
