That was a tough one to lose. Leafs played an excellent game. Who knows if they would have won with Reimer in there. Super impressed with the way Babcock has turned this team around so far and taught them how to overcome all the distractions in the past. Thought it would take much longer than this. Wait till they put some better talent out there. Though to be honest, it wasn't a lack of talent that cost them that game. He has this group of also rans playing like winners. OTOH the Rangers just keep on winning. Lost the Corsi battle once again but who cares. Leafs played great, won the Corsi, but the Rangers dictated the flow of the game after 1. Leafs won the first period and scored before the 1st ended, Rangers scored shortly into the 2nd and won the Corsi battle for the last 2/3's of the game. And once again got the W in the end. Is that 9 in a row now? Corsi Smorsi.

So agree with your Corsi Smorsi comment, well and the rest. There is a place for it for sure, but all I see now is people saying Corsi this and that. Actually capping has went out the window and now all you have to do is look at the holy grail Corsi. Wrong !!!! Now granted I have looked at shot charts before Corsi was even a thought and always went by the general rule that 10 shots equaled a goal. Well now it's about 11 shots equals a goal. But Corsi should just be another took in the capping bag. I believe that the Rangers really took this game for granted and after the ist got their attitude adjustment and saw they needed to actually show up tonight. Although a better goaltender would of probably been a difference tonight.
Which site do you use for the shot tracker and how accurate do you find them?
For shot tracker of course do it old school. I look at the shot charts from cbssports.com. Like this one from last night. http://www.cbssports.com/nhl/gametracker/live/NHL_20151115_TOR@NYR I make my own charts from the data from each night. But I put much more emphasis on the last 5 games. So I do concentrate a great deal on that.
But I do use http://www.sportingcharts.com/nhl/stats/team-shots-per-game/2015/ for a great deal of charts and stats. If you click on each team you get a ton of info, I really like this site. But this all goes back to when I keep just the total amount of shots from the newspaper every single day, before we had this new fangled internet thing. LOL. But really it's only been the past 10 years or so and really excelled in the past 5 years where the info is everywhere. The edge I had has really been cut down.
Just finished playing with both links. Both very cool especially sporting charts. I’m impressed at the information you get there that I’ve never seen any where before. I used to watch the CBS game tracker during the games and forgot about them showing the shot locations. I was surprised to see them list the odds and totals of the games on the scoreboard page. You’d never see that a few years ago.
I am a big believer in quality of shots over quantity. Check out the team shot locations on this one. Pretty telling.
