Your usually pretty good on your totals. I think it may take a spectacular game from a Leafs goalie to break this streak.

So a spot on local TV Dan Murphy interview canucks players - he was asking if they hate the leafs, most of the players were fans growing up. haha

Sedin said I dont hate anyone - really how about chara, marchand?

Leafs haven't won against Van. in nine years, haven't given up less than three goals during that span. If anything for me it would be the over but I'm staying away from this game tonight- of course I'll be watching it the closest (go Leafs).

That's the first I've heard that Burke and Nonis don't get along. I know the Van fans dont like him. Never heard anything about Nonis.

I'm going Canucks in this one. Last game of a grueling 6 game roadie where they've lost 4 of 5 so far. Although this is the kind of game Toronto will win and their fans think they are ready to compete for the Cup.

I like Calgary tonight as well.

My Line read says the nucks win - This is also the last home game before they hit the road for 6.

Well that game was a dud!

Comment on Vancouver - I really don't see them doing much as the deadline.

In the summer they acquired their top 6 forward in David Booth his wheels ( & finish) makes him more dangerous than Mason Raymond who was on that line last year.

The emergency of Cody Hodgson makes the third line a wild card b/c he will be a superstar one day the kind of player that makes other players better, There is some good speed on the 3rd line with Raymond and Hansen

The fourth line is deeper and tougher than it was this time last year, Weiss, Bitz, Lappy, Volpatti if ever comes back.

The defence will be fine Tanev will be a top four for us one day.

Goaltending will fine Luongo will be rested and if he falters Schneider will be ready.

The sedins have not played well as of late but as long as they continue to get the top checking line for the other team and the top defensive pairing who cares if they score, it will make more room for the 2nd and third lines.

Now here is my key point Since beating Boston in Jan the Canucks have not played that well yet they have only lost one game in Regulation in that span. You could see that last night they weren't spectacular in the 1st period yet they come away with 2-0 lead.

I think they will be rested and ready to go this year and they are about to go on six game road trip which is their last significant travel until the PO's start

let go Canucks!

Sometimes it's difficult to tell just how good a team is from a single game. You don't really know if they were THAT good or the opposition was THAT bad. It's a balance you have to weigh. They may play the Bruins next Sat night and look like hell. But I came away after watching last night's game that the Canucks are every bit as dangerous as last years team and I, for one, was convinced they were going to be the Champs. That kind of experience can either cause a negative effect that will put a doubt in all their heads or they can pick themselves off the floor and use it as a motivator. The emergence of Hodgson and addition of Booth are key additions no doubt. Luongo will once again be the wild card here though. AV was reluctant to use Schneider in game 7 last year. Will he change his tune in a similar situation this time around? It will be another difficult call.

The Sharks were my preseason favorite with the addition of Burns. Wilson gambled by sacrificing Heatley and Setoguchi offensively and replacing them with Havlat, hoping he had replacements within the system to fill the void. He didn't. Now he has to make another deadline move to fix this. If not his job is on the line.
Everyone is impressed with Detroit's run. And it is phenomenal. But a mid season streak and having enough firepower in the 3rd or 4th round of the playoffs are 2 different animals. Which is my main concern with them. I can see the Blues [without making any moves] or Nashville running the table with their goaltending. Why doesn't Nashville recognize they need a shartshooter to go along with that bunch for the final piece? They CAN be had. And the cap space is there. A perfect path and the Blues could be representing the West this time.

About 20 games to go. This is when our sport really shines. Can't wait.
