It has $250 limits, but its still great value...It's his 2nd start at AAA,after starting the season like 10-0 with a 1.39 ERA...also has not allowed a HR all season...The Delvil Rays are considering calling him up to the bigs very soon,as early as next week...so Durham(1st place in the division) with Price on mound -125 vs Indy (last place in their division) with an average pitcher on mound is worth a look....not sure where all has AAA lines, but i know TheGreek for sure does.

Looks like its worth a bet. But checked the standings and yes technically Durham is first in their division and Indy last in theirs but Durham is just 5 games over 500 and Indy 7 games under 500. And with this game in Indy there's really nothing between these teams tonight (aside from the pitching matchup of course).

I dont put to much stock into AAA records due to players constantly getting shuffled up and down...the play is on David Price mostly.

why would the best Minor League pitcher only get a -125?

something is odd here?

didnt they realize their error from that awfyl Liriano line in AAA?

FWIW, Price was -140 last Wed.in his 1st start for Durham and and took his 1st career loss....probably his worst outing as a pro, but expect it was just nerves as he still struckout 6 in just a few innings.

The reason the line is so low is because they never have AAA lines high for the very reason that these teams are all pretty much equal, except for a few. -125 is a lot of juice in AAA for a road team. I would't play this just because you gotta think the books knew the public would pound a big name like David Price. Not saying he couldn't throw a no hitter tonight, but usually when I see teams with top records and a big name pitcher that the public loves getting a low line I go the other way.

Good luck though.

lol. what? the public doesnt know david price from a game show host on cable television. the public doesnt even know there is such a thing as minor league baseball betting. this rivals some of the midseason posts during basketball season of 'the public is hammering the montana state game'. please tell me i did not just read this from you OTK. you are way better than that.

If the public just saw some random guy on the mound and it was David Price, most would have no idea, you are right about that. But this guy has been getting hyped up for a long time now and he gets even more exposure now that the Rays are a top team so I'd assume most of the public knows about him.

You are right that most people wouldn't even know about AAA baseball betting though, so I'm not too sure how much action the books will get on either side. But most average betters that will look at this game will just see the records and see if there is a pitcher that they recognize pitching for either team. I'm not saying it wouldn't be a smart play, but I wouldn't recommend people going overboard on something they really haven't been following and probably don't know too much about.

That was really the point I was trying to make.

Books dont give a shit about minor league baseball games. The limits are low and nobody bets them, give me a fucking break about the public and trap line bullshit.

There are valid points on both sides here.. the betting public does not bet on minor league games and the limits are low, so there is no fading the public.. hence lirianos last AAA start was an easy win but was only -120 or so. On the other hand, most baseball fans by now would know David Price, he has been talked about on ESPN a lot and was on the cover of SI the last month, but the fact remains this won't translate to a ton of action on people bettin on AAA Durham today.

Durham up 5-3 in the 6th after getting 3 in the top of the 5th. Price has given up 5 hits and four walks through 5 innings.
