Aloha Gang. Well, it was probably bound to happen as we have been riding a very successful winning streak in Units for the past six or so weeks. I guess I should have suspected this, as they say what goes up, must come down. I was hoping though that the part that came down, would not occur from the start and leave me in a predicament as the one I am facing going into Rivalry Weekend. Right now I am entering this Saturday lineup at -12 Units.
Still, like I always have done in the past, I need to keep it focused and positive, and I am sure we will be able to chip away at this negative standings. I have put in some extra time on this card, and thanks also to some of the info from other knowledgeable, intelligent, and generous cappers here, I have come up with an early card that I feel very confident about. This being Rivalry week, has opened up some situations and setup some games which I am going to fully take advantage of. No time to be shell shock, because of a few lost games. This card is full of potential winners, and now is time to capitalize on them. So without any more yacking and lip flapping, here we go. LETS ROCK!
5 Unit Plays on :
NC State E (ACC POW)(LOSE), Ohio St.+7 (Big Ten POW)(LOSE)
-QB Rivers will end his career with a bang, and solidify his standings as argubly the best QB in the Nation. State is at home in front of their hostile fans can only help with that cause. Big win for the Wolfpack in final home game.
-Ohio St. and their number one rush Def. should be able to shut down Michigan's RB Perry, making QB Navarro's Off one dimensional. This game will come down to the wire, and with all these points, Ohio St. will have the advantage. Coach Tressel, knows how to beat Michigan and he proves it again today.
4 Unit Plays on:
Memphis -10(LOSE), Kansas -10(WIN), Iowa +3(buy 1/2pt.)(WIN)
-Memphis is peaking on both Off and Def. They easily took care of a potent Louisville squad and now will have an opportunity to outclass and showcase their very dangerous team synergy. Cincy in the middle of a bad two simply not in position to be forgiving against anyone. Cincy get blown out once more.
-Kansas, get the their QB back for this an important game to secure a bowl bid. No letting down here today, as they play with a renewed excitement and motivation, against a disinterested Iowa St team on the road. Kansas should take care of this opponent, whose play last week only reflects signs of a squad which more than likely has packed it in for the year.
-Iowa seems back on track, after taking care of Minny's number one rushing Off. Wisky should give thanks to Michigan and Ohio St. for the tenderizing of Michigan St. in back to back weeks for their win. Anyone, could have taken out this battered and deflated Spartan squad after going through them two teams. Wisky was just in the right place at the right time, but this is a different more talented foe now they must defeat on their own. Iowa, to much Off. for Wisky to duplicate today.
3 Unit Plays on:
Syracuse +2(LOSE), Ole Miss +6.5(WIN), Oregon +3(WIN)
-Syracuse at home where they are oh so dangerous. They almost upset Miami in Miami last week, something that WV almost accomplished, but needed the confines of their stadium where they are tops to do it. Winning against top teams at home is one thing, but winning on the road without the support of your fans is another thing. Especially winning in this hostile enclosed Dome, no where to run and no where to hide.
-Ole Miss and Eli Manning is on a mission, and thats to win the SEC. Lsu is on fire, but gotta think sooner or later this team will run into those unfortunate, yet very realistic bumps in the road. This game is for the school's history, the school's recognition, and the school's revival. Hell, this game is for the whole State of Mississippi, and Eli Manning is simply one of those real bumps that can derail any team, especially here in rebel town.
-Oregon is on a two game winning streak, and signs of their early seasons form, which was showcased against Michigan, has seemed to found its way back home. This game, to important for recruiting and the schools state dominance, for the Ducks to let this one get away. Beavers playing awesome ball, but sometimes playing your rival at home in front of their fans is all that a Duck needs to **** a Beaver.
Thats the early card gang, I feel confident with these selections, especially seeing as some of the more knowledgeable cappers are also on these games. I will be adding more selections for the late games, as there are some that are also presenting great opportunities inwhich to capitalize on. Its Rivalry Week Gang, expect the records, rankings, and stats, to be tossed to the curb, as all that will matter is beating and laying an ass whooping on your rival today. Good luck to all today on your selections. LETS ROCK! Aloha CC.
