-Glavine has lost his last 3 starts, and has an ERA in these starts of 6.00....but Wolf for Philly is not on top of his game either at this time....Wolf is 1-2 in his last 3 starts, and has an ERA of 6.35....He also has a higher WHIP also in this span than Glavine....
Overall between the two, Glavine is the better pitcher with a 7-7 record and a 2.66 ERA and 1.09 WHIP in 19 games and 128.2 innings on the hill....Wolf, on the other hand, has a 3-5 record overall with a 3.56 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP in only 86 innings on the hill.
Both BP's of late and overall has performed about the same...But today, I gotta back Glavine who is starting this one at home after a terrible 3 game road start...Sometimes being able to pitch at home makes a difference, and what is needed to get back on track....Also, with this one being an important game to gain ground on the Phillies lead, you have to expect Glavine to be focused and determined to get a win for his team and home fans today....
For Wolf, this will be his 1st road start after a 3 game home stint....In his last 3 games at home, he was not at all dominating or fared well...In this span, 16.1 innings, he gave up 24 hits, 12 runs, 6 walks, and 3 HRs...Now he must go on the road coming off of two bad outings and pitch in this NY Venue, doesnt look to good for him....
I like this situation favoring Glavine at home today, and also because the Mets are coming off a lost yesterday to the Phils, ans with Wolf struggling of late....The Mets have won 9 of their last 12 at home, and do hold a 7-4 advantage over the Phillies in the seasons series...Look for them behind Glavine to bounce back and win the Series...Go Mets!

but the same token i suspect wolfs should improve also.
