Aloha Gang.....How ya all doing today?.....First off, I hope you all are in good health and spirits today.....For me, I couldnt be any happier as I hit Two back to back days with
TWO EZ--BIG GAME PLAY WINNERS, on Texas and SC.....I doesnt get any Sweeter than that!......Anyways, College ball has always been very profitable for me as compared to Pro Ball and this cannot be more evident in my CFB, CBB, and now CWS plays, as I am now
5-1 in the CWS.....Ok enough talk already in this mornings meeting.....Lets get down to some ****ing Business Already!
**TOP 3 UNIT UNDERDOG PLAY ON:
Arizona Wildcats +155
-Ok, I like the Wildcats today.....Why?....Because I feel them Georgia peaches got lucky in the first game between these two squads....I also feel that Arizona, who everyone feels is even lucky to be here in the CWS is mistaken by their undervalueing of this Pac-10 team.....Remember Gang, the Pac-10 is one of the most competive conferences of all College Athletics and so records can be a little misleading here.....This is the CWS and you have to throw part of that shit out the window, as this is a whole new ball game.....
To me, Arizona's performance against not the #2 or #3 pitcher taken in the MLB Draft, but the #1 Stud of the Draft tells me a lot about how determined and how undervalued this team really is....Their somewhat solid performance vs Georgia also show me that this team can play and that dominant win over Arkansas furthers my feelings about this team.....
Ok, today we got two teams one with better studs at the plate in Arizona, and one with the better studs on the hill in Georgia....Well, I still have to go with Zona....I think that their bats will get to Georgia today and if they can cut down on the errors that costed them runs in the first meeting, and get solid performances out of their pitchers today, they should squeak out another win in this one....
Now I know the pitching matchup here in this one looks like a mismatch, but Arizona's bats at the plate with 7 players hitting over .300 should keep them close....Also, I am thinking to myself here, with facing elimination, why is Coach Lopez going to this guy on the hill today.....Hmmmm, well to me this crafty coach knowing that his BP sucks donkey balls may be pulling the ole switcharule(sp) here.....What I mean, is I think Coach Lopez, who btw has already won a National Title in 1992, and who has also taken two other teams to Omaha before.....has to be thinking on using his top starters as relievers and closures again....Like he did in the Regionals with Kolberg....Hmmmm, just might work.
It is very evident that Georgia wants to get the ball into the hands of their stud closure Startup to close it out for them, but I feel that if Arizona can get the lead like they did against Georgia in the first meeting and then be able to compete in the end with Georgia's Startup, to protect the lead this time, barring any errors or wild pitches, which btw was thrown by Arizona's Kolberg for a CWS record 3 times, they may be able to secure another victory...
Bottom line for me in this one is that....Zona is a very dangerous dog, and they have a Crafty Veteran Coach in Lopez who has been here and done that.....Get the Championship, I mean....Remember, this is the first trip for Georgia here, in I dont know when, and Coach Perno's first ever trip to Omaha.....Gotta go with the Veteran Coach with the better Offense today....Georgia's picther's good, but no way near good enough to stop this Zona squad from getting to them.....Last note, Georgia is lucky as well to be in this position here today, as they needed two back to back jacks, in the nineth, in their Regional Finals vs Clemson to move on.....Also Georgia's lineup only has 5 players hitting over .300 and today, I think facing elimination with a rookie coach in the CWS will catch up to them....Go Wildcats!
