Aloha Gang.......I hope you all are in good healths and spirits today......Yesterday I posted a 4W-4L= +3.00 Units......Yesterday was also the third consecutive winning day for me which turned out a 19W-10L= +24.92 Units......My TOP 3 Unit Plays also during this span got back on track going 9W-4L.......Spanking some Major Ass as well was my Late Set of Plays that posted a very solid 11W-2L record for the week....That was Sweet ending the days with on a winning note......

Well enough with that past shit....Today is a new week, so its a new run to cashiers window....,We have a short card today, but I see some juicy plays for us to Bank On!.....So lets get this New Weeks Party Started Already!....

**TOP 3 UNIT PLAY ON:

Florida -136

-Florida almost got it done vs the Big Unit yesterday.....If not for one bad inning, we would of gotten the solid win...But shit happens, and that is why he is the Man....

Today though, he is not on the hill and that is why I am going right back to the Florida Marlins in this one......Zona is one of those teams that seem to only get up when Randy gets on the mound, but fall right back to sleep when he is not....Today, I feel is one of those days....

Zona is still struggling at the plate vs RHP's hitting ONLY .208 vs them in their last 10 games......Florida is hitting .256 vs RHP's in their last 10 games vs them....Pavano for Florida has been pitching very well so far this year and has had just 2 bad outings, leading to his 2 losses on the year....His last outing vs Houston was his worst, as he allowed 9 hits, 5 runs, and 1 HR......But Zona's sticks are no where near that of the 3rd ranked hitting team in the League in Houston.....Zona is ranked 5th to last in hitting % in the League....

Pavano this year after a loss or a bad outing, where Florida still won but he received a ND, I've noticed that he comes out in his next start and produces an excellent game redeeming his last start....Only Houston following a ND for him is the exception....but again, Zona is no Houston....This is the kind of pitcher you want to back, as he seems to become very focused and determined to make up for his poor showing.....Here is an example of what he did in his next start following a loss or ND to him....Montreal, pitched 7 innings, allowed 3 hits, no runs, and 1 walk......Colorado, pitched 8 innings, allowed 5 hits, 2 runs, and 1 wald.....SD, pitched 8 innings, allowed just 4 hits, only 1 run, and 0 walks....

I see him being able to dominate this Zona team, following this redemption trend that he has been following after a loss and ND games......Florida is 8-2 in Pavano's last 10 starts which supports this play, while the D-Backs are just 3-7 in their last 10 overall...Randy Johnson, btw was responsible for getting 2 of those 3 wins in this span....

Webb for Zona takes the mound with a 2-3 record and an 2.95 ERA....Still, looking at his last 9 starts, his pattern seems to be that after a good outing where he got a shutout win or a near shutout, it was followed by him giving up multiple runs and getting a ND........In his last game vs Atlanta he pitched an outstanding shutting out the Braves....If he follows his recent pattern after a shutout, it should lead to him giving up mulitple runs and that should spell another Zona lost.....

Another advantage Florida has will be in their ability to move runners on base via Stealing..... In fact, Florida ranks nineth in the League in stolen bases with 29....Florida has 3 guys led by 3rd ranked Juan Pierre in stolen bases in the League....Why this ability will play a big part in this one, is due to the fact that eventhough Webb for Zona has a low ERA, he also gives up a lot of walks.....In fact, he has been averaging 3 walks his last three games, and 28 walks in total this year, which ranks him 4th in the League in walks allowed....Not good vs this Florida team who is a patient team at the plate and who has 4 players in their lineup that rank in the Top 50 in getting on base via walks.....With Webbs potential to give up walks, puttting men on base for Florida mixed in with the Fishes ability to move runners via SB, I have to say that Florida will have many more opportunities to put men in scoring positon and more opportunities to get runs.....Zona not as aggressive a team ranking near the bottom in SB, so they will need to do it the harder way, base hits.....But as I have stated, they are only hitting .208 vs RHP of late....

Making matters worst for the D-Backs, is that Pavano has ONLY given up 15 walks all year....This may be a long day for Zona and a very efficient and effective game played by the Fish......In short, Zona's struggle vs RHP's and facing Florida's Pavano who doesnt walk much, leaves them no real advantage to put men on base and in scoring position.....Whereas in Florida's case, facing a Pitcher like Webb who gives up a lot of walks, and Florida's aggressive base running, and as well Florida playing to bounce back from last nights lost and take this series played in their house, gives them a very decided advantage today.....Florida has the advantage on getting on base, via the hits and via the walks.....The Over is 6-0 in Webb's last six games says a lot.....and Florida should be able to continue this over streak today vs Webb.....

Making matters worst for the D-Backs Offense today is the loss of Sexson from the lineup due to injury......and also Luis Gonzalez who will now have to carry the load now that Sexson is out....Only problem is that, although he got a blast in yesterday's game, he is still in a 2-18 slump at the plate....No good for this Zona team who already is struggling to score runs and is ONLY averaging 2.4 runs in their last 10 games......Fish should dominate today!.....

**1 UNIT PLAY ON:

Florida -1.5 +155

**Ok Gang, I will be back later with the evening plays.....So check back later if interested in them......Until then, lets start this day off on a positive note with this Florida Bad Boy!.....Good luck to all today and LETS GO GET EM! ALOHA CC.

FYI:

Webb 4th in Walks allowed is following suit, like I thought....Already walking two Marlins so far....and that cost them Big in the Second Inning....Florida 3-0 bottom of 2nd...one out....Love It!.

*MLB YTD Records Update: (not going to do this everyday, but since I have it here, might as well update it.)

167W-148L= +11.10 Units.....Ok, were up double digits.....

Dam, just this past Thursday I was down approx -26 Units, and now just 4 days later....I am up +11.10 Units.....Hell Yeah!.....Who was it that said playing to many Favs is a "recipe for disaster".....Hmmm, seems to me that listening and believing what this person says is "a recipe for disaster".....LOL...

What uninformed people seem to not realize is that these are selective professionally handicapped plays....Check out the WriteUp...which totally handicapped why this is a solid Fav to play today.....The game was pegged perfectly, and I dont ever use guessing when it comes to my plays, nor do I just play Favs just because they are Favs.....Now that would be a "recipe for disaster".

People, try to watch out when other people start stating that they know what is right and what is wrong, or that others methods are bad and not good.....Hey, let my analysis in my Writeup inform you on why I play a certain team.....After you read my indepth reasoning, then you make an informed decision based on this hard work whether to follow it or not, and not simply risk your hard earned money based on someone's ignorant unsubstantiated comments or statements....Just a heads up for you all....GL and much success, CC.

**4 UNIT PLAY OF THE WEEK ON:

Angels +100

-How can I not take the Angels at this price.....I mean, they are still one of the Hottest teams in the League.....and they also are the Majors best road team going 14-9.....That 3 game sweep of the O's and the way that they did it....where each win seemed to come a lot easier and with greater efficiency, tells me that the Angels has found their grove again, something which could have been lost following those Bad Beats by the Yanks at home.....Their ability to respond back, the way they did by sweeping the O's is a good sign that says I need to ride them now....

That win over Ponson, a pitcher who has beaten them 8 straight times also may be working in their favor mentally......They were able to close the book on that team and their nemesis in Ponson, and now that leaves them fully focused on Toronto today, with nothing to look back on....That win also seemed to have fueled the Offense who wasnt scoring as much as they have previous....Toronto on the other hand, is coming off getting Swept by the Red Sox and that cannot be sitting well with them, at least not mentally....Advantage Angels.....

Toronto is still in a slump of late losing 4 straight and 9 of their last 12 games....Toronto's problems again is at the plate where they have not been producing enough to support their guys on the hill......Today they face a righty in Lackey, and Toronto in their last 10 games have been only averaging .223 vs RHP's....The Angels, on the other hand, is hitting .277 vs RHP's their last 10 games....Advantage Angels!...

Miller for Toronto takes the mound for the BJays today, but I cant see him over powering this aggressive hitting lineup of the Angels today at all......In fact, based on Miller's last two performances, I say that he may be struggling a bit with his control, as he has allowed 8 walks in his last two games which ended in him going 0-2....This is again not good vs an lineup like the Angels, who are ranked number 1 in both hits and runs scored in the League.....The Angels are also ranked 5th in SB's which gives them another advantage in moving runners on base in scoring position.....The team who have an advantage at the plate and on base, definately will have more scoring opportunities and the Angels have proven by scoring the most runs in the League, that they know how to take advantage of any opportunities when on base......If Miller follows his two game average of allowing 4 walks today, hes done......Toronto is 1-4 in Miller's last 5 starts....and the BJays are 3-7 in their last 10 overall....

John Lackey gets the start today off of two consecutive losses....But you have to factor in the fact that those two losses were vs the Evil Empire's Allstar Lineup, where any one of those guys, at any moment, can change the whole complexity of the game.....Plus, I dont think that there is anyone who can hold that lineup in check for an entire game.....Toronto is a different story, they have been relying on the play of the only two players who have been consistant at the plate in Delgado and Wells.....This wont be enough vs the multiple sluggers of the Angels, whose sticks are HoT.....Lackey before he ran into the Yanks twice, had won 3 consecutive games where he was dominant......Dont see any reason why he doesnt continue where he left off before the Yanks took him apart.....Toronto's lineup is not even close to the firepower of the Yanks, so he should be able to dominate them....

Once the Angels get the lead and hold it late in the games, you have to give them the decided advantage as they have probably the best BP's in the Majors.....In fact, in the last 3 Angel games, this BP has a 1.03 ERA....Toronto's BP cost them some victorys late in the game and it is evident in their 5.18 ERA average in there last 3 games....Not Good ....Big Advantage Angels!

Bottom line is the Angels are clicking right now and the Toronto is not....The Angels have won 15 of their last 20 games and have already gotten 5 Sweeps so far this season.....I cant see this struggling, demoralized Toronto team being able to contain this surging Angel squad, who again have the best record away from home in the League....

**2 UNIT PLAYS ON:

Montreal +109

-Going with the better pitcher in this one......Expose, coming close....I feel they can catch the Braves in this one today.....

Cincy +107

-Cincy is feeling it right now, and has taken down Houston's Aces.....So why not Redding.....Well, I know about Acevedo's losses to the Astros in the past and the last one at Houston......But, today Acevedo is at home where he is undefeated at 4-0....Acevedo is a home pitcher, and not a road pitcher, as his 0-4 record in road games can atest to....Those 4 wins at home though were against Chic, Atl, Milw, and Col....In all these 4 home games combined, he gave up just 9 runs, 19 hits, 21 K's, and walked ONLY 3, in 21 innings....Pretty Solid!...Like I mentioned Acevedo is a home pitcher who excells at home and not on the road....Tonight, I think he will be very focused on getting his first win over the Astros and change that 0-3 record Cincy has when he has started against Houston......The Reds are playing solid ball of late and is another team like the Angels who have seem to be clicking right now....There 8-2 record in their last 10 games supports this.....Cincy's BP has also been playing better than Houston's BP of late, so I am gonna ride Cincy to get the SWEEP!
