Aloha Gang. Well yesterday was a very profitable one for us, as we SWEPT the double 6 Unit Plays with Ark LR and St Peters. So far for the week, we are still down negative units. Today we are going to change that with the help of these IVY plays. This weeks Rec now stands at 19W-22L-1P= -13 Units. Ivy is the Day , so IVY is the Play. Also, in Pops69's POD thread, I am currently 13W-5L= 72.22% for the last 19 Days. Lets Rock!

**6 Unit Play on:

BROWN +15-Brown is 6-2 in the Conf, and 5-7 on the road, scoring 69.4 ppg and 42% from the field, while their opps score 74.2 ppg and 43.5% from the field. Penn is 5-2 in the Conf and 4-3 at home. Penn at home scores an average of 74.7 ppg and 45.8% shooting from the field, while their opponents are scoring 67 ppg and 45.4% from the field. Brown in their last 5 games though, has been lighting the score board up with outings producing 92pts, 81, 90, 91, and 84pts. During this span, Brown has been consistantly shooting well from the field, and also from 3pt land. Brown has 5 players who are averaging 38% or more from behind the Arc. Brown has already beat this Penn squad at home by 4pts, earlier on 1-31. Brown currently 2-1 ATS, 11-6 ATS last 3 seasons, vs good Defensive teams allowing less than 64pts per game. Brown also Currently 4-1 ATS, 12-8 ATS last 3 seasons, after scoring 80pts or more. Penn is currently just 1-4 ATS in home lined games. They are also 3-4 ATS vs teams with a losing record, and 4-5 ATS as a Fav. Today, I see Brown playing hard to prevent any Revenge from Penn happening, but also because this game is important as the loser will end up with 3 losses and probably be eliminated from any contention for the Ivy Conf Title. Today I look for this Hot shooting Brown team to remain Hot enough to get the cover, extending its ATS record to 4 straight covers vs Penn.(WINNER SU-by 4pts)

**4 Unit Plays on:

COLUMBIA -8-I know, Columbia not to good this year. Still, this is simply a FADE Harvard play. Columbia 3-1 ATS when playing against a team with a losing record after 15 or more games. Columbia also 11-2 ATS vs Harvard since 1997. Columbia also already beat this Harvard squad by 11pts back on 1-31. Harvard currently 1-10 SU on the road averaging ONLY 58 ppg and ONLY 35.7% shooting from the field, while their opponents are averaging 73.8 ppg and 46% from the field. I am also going against Harvard today as I am following a trend that goes against the visiting team who is coming off of a Big Upset win at Home. Yesterday, Youngstown St was in this situation, and they got blownout by 20pts.(WINNER-by 9pts)

OVER 144 BRWN/PENN-Brown in last 5 games are averaging 87.6 ppg and 49.8% from the field. Penn also in their last 5 games are averaging 81.6 ppg and 54.5% shooting from the field. Add them up and they go OVER 144. In their last game between these two played back on 1-31, the final score totalled 180.(BR 92-88) This one should be another High scoring affair today, so Buckle Up Gang!(WINNER-tot 152)

**3 Unit Play on:

YALE +8.5-Yale is currently 5-3 ATS on the road this year. Princeton is 6-2 SU at home, but are just 0-3 ATS at home. Both are currently playing good Defense, as in both of their last 5 games each played, they are holding their opponents to under 60 ppg and under 41% shooting from the field. Yale lost at home by ONLY 2pts on 1-31, despite being out shot from the line, field, and behind the Arc, as well as being outboarded by 11 Rebs. This was a tough loss, but it shows me alot on how their Defense is capable of stepping things up even when their Offense is struggling. Yale in their last game suffered a lost to Harvard, but that could have been due to playing on only 1 days rest, or because they were peeking to this one, or both. Nonetheless, Princeton is currently 0-3 ATS when playing a team with a losing record after 15 or more games. Tigers currently only 3-5 ATS as a Favorite this year. Yale currently is 5-2 ATS as an Underdog. Yale is 4-2 ATS in road games. Yale is currently 3-1 ATS vs good Defensive teams allowing less than 64 pts per game. Lastly, Yale is 2-1 ATS vs Offensive teams scoring less than 64pts per game.(LOSE)

**OK Gang, those are the Ivy plays for today. IVY has been very unpredictable this year, but these, kind of, tell me a story of a POSITIVE day for ALL of Us. Good Luck and Aloha CC.

Chosen, it is based on many different present and past variables, angles, situations, matchups, injs, etc. that I put together as a whole. Some of these may rate high, some may rate low, some situational setups may rate the highest. Add them all together and I come out with a play. Then usually the play with the best and most variables, situations, etc favoring them usually would give me an idea of which plays are a better and more solid play to wager more on. Its kind of hard to explain, but basically, the play with more pluses in favor of them get ranked accordingly. Over/Unders, half times bets after I determine they are playable, the amount I decide to play them for is a gut feeling. Good Luck to you and Aloha CC.

Way to go Co Cap. Your insight into the games last nite helped me avert a real disaster as I rode 3 of your plays to the winner's circle to offset my top 2 plays on Maryland and Tex el paso, who must have forgot what time the game started as they only showed up for the second half.I think you have some value tonite in Brown and Columbia .GL to you and looking forward to your write ups tomorrow.

Thanks Co-Cap....hey, I also noticed you had the line +15?? I saw it open at 13.5 and it looks like it's moved to 14 at the most in places. Where did you get that line or did you buy points??

Yeah, I tried the fade Harvard play last weekend against Yale and took it in the mouth. But Columbia at home could be worth a play.

Love yer Ivy picks Cap...

I'm gonna take Brown for sure - Penn's last loss was to brown and Penn has been on a tear of their own lately but 14 points to too many for a team has already beat you - granted on their home court - I'm sure the books are expecting revenge but 14 points? No way.

I'm still looking for some confidence back after that rough night the other night I had with TTU...

I should have kept my head up and bet GT last night but the loss really floored me mentally.

RSS, I bought .5pts to get it to +15. I cant understand why it is that so many are so interested in questioning a number put out. If you didnt know, you can get a number by several means. One way, you can buy pts. Two, you can search for the number you want. Three, you can use a promotion from a book which allows you to get a free .5pt-1pt on the game. Fourth , you can play with a local who usually will have a number off by 1-1.5pt from the Vegas guys. Five, you could play reduced juice days or promotions, and buy pts and make the juice back to a regular 10% or such. ETC. These I am sure are just a few. What you all need to do is not look at the number entirity, we all know what its around. Plus my numbers gave me that Penn should be fav of up to 16. Ok , Great. But what is more important, is the understand and reasoning behind a play. Ask questions or have comments about the reasoning behind a selection. Instead of where did I get a number and question this. We all know even if someone was to tell you where it was, that your not going to rush out and open an account just for one particular game to get .5pt-1pt better than what your book you are playing with has. C'mon. Please people, lets stop with the nonsense questioning. You want to get better and informed. Do it concerning the content of a play. Numbers we all should know. Content, reasoning, understanding, angles, situations, etc, we dont, or may not. RSS, not going off on you personally , so dont take this that way if you are. I just saw other threads here where others are questioning someones posted numbers instead of the reasons to the play, especially after it is listed as a singled out play. Gl to you and Aloha

Jersyguy, yes so did I. Them bastards cost me last week to. But for me, one game doesnt make me a believer in you. Plus, because of that upset, I am using the other trend going against them . Which is fading the visiting dog who is coming off an upset at Home. Hense the fading of Harvard fit this also. GL to you and Aloha CC.

Gracie, gl to you as well, and yes I hope we both will have a great day. Aloha CC.

FawvDog , thanks, and Good luck today, and lets go get em, Aloha CC.

Cheapseats, to tell you the truth, I am not really a big over/unders guy, as I seem to suck at it. I dont really put that much time into it as with the sides, and that is probably the reason why. But when I saw this number, it seem low compared to the total these two put up in their first meeting with 180. Also with the way that both of these teams have been playing in their last 5 games where they are both averaging in the 80's and around 50% shooting, I thought it was a good shot to take. So with answering your question, I would still play the Over, but as always , when the line move that much, I would have to downgrade my selection a bit. GL and Aloha CC

Jaypaw,

Sorry, I just saw your post in my other thread. To answer you, no, I dont have a problem with you or anyone posting or asking questions in my thread. Please forgive me as well, if sometimes I sound a bit on the defensive side. By the time you all start reading my posts, and then ask me something. I have most likely, on big card days, been up for almost 20 hours, with the last 7 hrs strickly dedicated to capping the games. Its like 5-7am in the morning here, and I havent yet gone to sleep yet, so I am a bit bitchy at this time.

But, by you asking questions in the hopes to learn , grow, understand, and get better at this thing we like to do, is always a good thing in my opinion, so ask on. The only thing though, is try not to be so wishy washy with your comments. If you have a stand on something , take it and let it evolve with the debate. See where it goes. Remember Paralysis by Analysis, LOL. Well, I read your comments about the GT/Maryland game and you had a good argument. But I was just to brain dead to venture in to that one. I as well also had GT from the beginning only to switch over because of the ACC road thing. Anyways, I think that by you going back and forth with something is good, but sometimes if this happens, like oldmanTed said, sometimes you might just have to let it go and move on to another game, especially if their is good arguments coming from both sides. It seems like we are trying to hard to look for something that isnt there or something that, even if it exist, is not that strong to back. Yesterday , with me and you going away from our own feelings and other things supporting GT, it cost us a Win. Just to mention, I also got swayed off of Arizona onto Oregon as well, which cost me another win. If I just stuck with what I had, I would of swept all my Top selections. But, I made a decision stuck with it, and accepted it. This way, when the game is over, win or lose, I wont be so torn up about what I did if it didnt turn out in my favor. This to me, is very important that we are able to let a lost go, no matter what. Tomorrow is another day, and your full focus is needed on this days games. All you can do is remember your decisions and learn and use it next time if a similar situation comes along.

So in conclusion, I think that asking questions and debating things is great, but I think it is better to use it to support a side you already selected first, and one your stickibg with. With the agreements or disagreements you come ac**** from others in your asking questions or debates, you can use them to place a value on your selection, but not one to make it or change it. I think this would help you out and cause you less of a torture on yourself in trying to debate or question a game to get a side, and/or especially if your struggling to find confidence in backing it. GL to you and Aloha CC.

Adding:

3 Unit Play on:

BROWN +10 (2ND HF)-Brown playing well up to this point, and looks like they could pull the outright upset. May not happen, but they should at least keep this one really close. So far their hot shooting seems to be still on fire. GL.(WINNER)

YALE +7 (2ND HF)-Yale looking good right now so these points are a gift. Also with that slow down Princeton Offense, the Tigers might be in trouble catching up, and may have additinal trouble going away from this slow down game in order to catch up. Take the pts. GL CC.(LOSE)
