Actually Valverde is supposed to be the ace of the D'backs bp. He is their closer but he sure stunk up the joint on Monday.
Definitely a tough beat. How did this game get to be 1-1 in the 8th inning anyway. Both starters had eras just under 7. D'backs just got finished batting the ball all over the yard against Atl. Guess they were tired.
