Memphis -4.5 over Tulane

Tommy West has his team focused on one goal right now-winning the conference. Tigers got rolling last week by smashing Houston. Tulane has a weak defense, giving up almost 500 yds a game, including 237 vs. the run. Memphis has one of the better backs in the nation in DeAngelo Williams. This kid will run all day on Tulane, and Memphis is even better running the ball away from home averaging 205 yds a game. Tulane's defense has been depleted this year with 9 defensive starters out. Now it looks like D Nevil on the def. line might also be out. On the other side, Memphis gets Albert Means back to shore up the middle. And when def coach Joe Lee Dunn gets a presence in the middle, he can wreak havoc with his style of defense. Memphis 38 Tulane 24

Adding North Carolina +13.5 (Best 1-6 team in the country. too many points)

Texas Tech -3 (2 loss team looking for a good bowl. Missouri can't score enough to keep up)

Memphis and TT (and UCF) are my favs this week as well.

I lost a tough one on Memphis a couple weeks ago vs Miss St. They didn't cover... but damn, they kicked MSU's ass up and down field. They definitely seem to have rectified their red-zone issues last week, crushing Houston.

I think they are also well below the betting public's radar... -4.5 is a gift.


Memphis is 12-2-2 ATS vs Tulane.
