I think when it comes to sports it is slightly different than in society. I personally could care less if someone is gay, if thats what floats their boats more power to them, doesn't bother me one bit. Would I want to be in a locker room knowing there is a possibility that a fellow teammate is attracted to me? That might make me a little uneasy...and no, I completely get not every gay guy is attracted to every guy just like not every guy is attracted to every woman but if I was showering with a girl I wasn't attracted to I'd still probably check her goods out! Tough subject in sports but more power to the guy for having the balls and not hiding behind who he is.
Im not a lesbian so I'm probably not the best person to ask but no I'm sure they wouldn't care. I'd be almost certain you could find a group of straight women who wouldn't want to shower with a lesbian though. Showering with a gay guy wouldn't be on my bucket list, that's why I said because of the locker room atmosphere in sports I do believe it is slightly different and can impact people's thoughts more than in normal society. Again I could care less, happy the guy is comfortable in his own skin.
If you are an NFL team would you want to draft this guy? Who wants all that media attention? If I were the other players on the team I wouldn't want the press crawling up my ass asking me what I think about it etc etc. Goodell will have a hand in this and tell the teams he doesn't want this guy dropping to the third round or below..
