In Oct. 1996 a panel of media, former players and coaches, current and former general managers and team executives voted these players
the top 50 in NBA history.

Who since then has earned a place on this list, and who do you remove
from the list to make place for them?

Obviously Kobe Bryant deserves a place. Does Dwyane Wade, Vince
Carter, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Reggie Miller, Allen Iverson?

I never liked Pippen in this list, I say he is the first to get booted.

Barkley top 50.............not.

Obviously Kevin Garnett should be on the list before Sir Charles.

What about Connie Hawkins? Wasn't he a former Hawkeye? Wasn't he expelled from Iowa for a point shaving scandal? All I know was that he was one of the best players that I have ever seen...remember watching him in the ABA...

You can't take anyone off that list. Scottie belongs on there...didnt get that much attention cuz of MJ but just take a look at his numbers..not to mention his defense

Guys that have to be on the list:

Tim Duncan
Kevin Garnett
Kobe
A lot would disagree but I put Paul Pierce on that list

Soon to be on that list:
James
Wade (possibly)
Chris Paul (waaaaayyy down the road..he needs a championship or two)

I thought Robert Parish was great player but top 50 now, I don't think so, not sure about Worthy or Pippen either. I do think Barkley stays for now.

Duncan, Kobe, Lebron would be my first three replacements.

I don't think Vince Carter is literally garbage - just one of those guys that will take any shot including a boat load of bad ones

Paul Pierce? Wha?

23 PPG
6.3 RPG
4.0 APG
1.6 SPG

Extremely clutch..NBA championship under his belt (I'm guessing at least one more to come)

What's not to like about Pierce?

Similar resume to Garnett and everyone is putting Garnett in there...both did shit with bad teams..got together and won a title. Pierce actually avg. 3 more points a game career wise..has more steals per game...more assists per game...better free throw shooter..obv better 3 point shooter..Garnett gets the edge in rebounding obv cuz hes got half a foot on Pierce..Garnett a better all around defender but if you are putting KG in there you are putting Pierce in there

Isaah Thomas goes first

I'm not an Isiah fan, actually I think he's a bit mentally ill, but
his performance in game 6 of the NBA finals was legendary, scoring
25 points in one quarter on a badly sprained ankle against the
Lakers.
