1. Texas at #7 BCS TTech by 6 on the easiest dropped pick you'll ever see.

2. Oklahoma on neutral field against #2 BCS Texas by 10.

3. USC at #17 BCS Oregon State by 6.

4. TTech at #3 BCS Oklahoma by 44.

5. Florida at home against #27 BCS Mississippi by 1 on missed XP.

The reason Florida has the lowest quality loss of the 5 is because they're not only the only team who lost at home, but it was also against the lowest ranked BCS team of all 5. And the reason OU's loss isn't the #1 best quality is because Texas's loss was on the road AND should've been a win if not for Blake Gideon.

As if it mattered in Florida's case. (NOT)

Right, but the ranking of these losses is what's keeping the computers in love with Texas (#2 in computers BARELY behind #1 in computers Bama) and what is keeping the computers hating Florida (#6 in computers). In the end, Texas can PRAY that their one loss strength could keep them ahead of OU after next week, but again, that's doubtful due to Texas being an awful #4 in BOTH the Harris and Coaches.

Head-to-head counts the most in my book.

That being said, I also believe OU is better overall than UT, but I could NEVER support a system that would give the nod to team 'A' over team 'B' when team 'B' beat team 'A' on a neutral field head-to-head.

As a college fan first and foremost, I want to see what's "right" and the "most fair" even if it means that another team who might be perceived to be "better" or "more improved" is left out. Head-to-head MUST reign supreme, especially on a neutral field.

Also, OU has already gotten the unfair nod to the NC game TWICE in the recent past.

Stop Saying - 'Neutral Site' garbage...The game was played in fuckin Texas !!!

It's like if USC played anyone (other than UCLA) at the Rose Bowl, instead of their real home the Colliseum.

That said, head to head still matters, and the Florida loss at home is by far the worst of them all.

Normally I'd agree with you about the neutral field angle, but in the context of THIS specific year where HFA has meant everything in the B12 South and especially in this unique set of circumstances in trying to determine "fairness" this year in college football, it has to be accentuated that the RRR technically is neither team's home stadium despite being located in the state of TX. OU has PLENTY of fans at the RRR, if not MORE according to even OU fans.

If Texas had beat OU in Austin, for example, then their victory wouldn't carry as much weight and when OU passes them next week it wouldn't piss as many people off.

um, you do know that tickets are split 50/50 for OU/UT right? they split the stadium? just because it's played in Texas does not give Texas any HFA. Both teams still have to travel to get there and neither team has a decided advantage.

You should go and decide for yourself, but I've been a few times and there are just as many OU fans as UT fans
