Too Many Damn Bowl Games

Foster Farms Bowl, Cure Bowl, Quick Lane Bowl, Camellia Bowl, Cactus Bowl and on and on. Forty
frecken bowl games plus the playoffs. How many of you can name the cities the above bowls are
being played in. All this bowl silliness has gotten out of hand.

With so many so-called reward games, it's a real possibility many of these teams will have losing
records. Add the fact most of the schools will lose money playing in the damn things. Won't be
long until presidents say NO to these money burners.

My take....what's yours..................

Yep... just go with a 16 or 8 team playoff system. And give each game a bowl name.

Problem solved. No more "Charity" bowls for bad school programs as a trophy for having a bad season.

You have a good season and you get rewarded, you have a bad one... tough shit, do better next year.

Last June, the bitcoin payment startup BitPay cut a three-year deal with ESPN to be the title sponsor of the St. Petersburg Bowl, an annual NCAA college football postseason game. The game took place on December 26 in Florida, between North Carolina State University and the University of Central Florida, and there were supposed to be two more years of the game with the ‘Bitcoin Bowl’ branding. But the sponsorship has abruptly ended.
