Tony Larussa has the 3rd most wins of any manager all time. He has been arguably the best regular season manager in our lifetime. He will likely someday have a place in Cooperstown. All of that is great but he also may go down as one of the biggest chokers as a manager in post season history. Cards were never favored to beat Mets or even Padres, but Larussa was on his way to getting a 83 win team that no one thought had a chance back to the WS for 2nd time in 3 years. Tonight's Game 7 will define Tony's managers career not only with the Cardinals but his entire career. He choked in 83 with White Sox. He choked in 88 and 90 with A's. He choked in 96,00,01,04,and 05 with Cardinals. Only his 89 A's team lived up to expectations. He has a chance to erase all of his ghosts and validate himself as one of the great managers of all time by winning Game 7 in NY tonight. Losing a tight game or a tight series that the Cardinals were never supposed be in won't cut it. Larussa, it is put up or shut up time! Here is your chance if not, maybe it should be your last chance in Cardinal Red imo as I think it should be time for a change in St. Louis. I believe in Larussa but this will be his last straw with me and many other Cardinal fans. Here is his wake up call! Get the players ready mentally and make sure you play the right guys tonight (the ones that have no fear) and leave it out on the field.
