ABC News’s Bret Hovell reports: Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s husband was arrested more than 20 years ago for driving under the influence of alcohol, the McCain-Palin campaign confirmed today.
Todd Pali was 22 years old at the time and was not yet not married to the presumptive Republican vice presidential nominee, but was dating her. He was pulled over by authorities in a small Alaskan town but not involved in any accident, and no one was hurt in the incident. He was briefly taken to jail following his arrest.
The campaign confirmed news of Palin’s arrest on the same day it announced that the Palin’s daughter, Bristol, is pregnant. Bristol is 17 and unmarried.

DUI is a non issue really.

Happens to the best of us. Everyone is entitled to a few mistakes.

Especially 20 years ago...multiple DUIs may show there is a problem and this person has poor judgement but you can't crucify somone over one.

non issue for me, unlike the pregnancy though. just funny though that the other campaign knows more about the vp then the mccain campaign. accessing records, being in that wasillia area or whatever before the repubs

Funny how the press can dig up a 20 year old DUI but can't seem to find Bambi's official birth certificate. :think2:
