Anyone have any stories of interesting things that have happened to them during this day?

I have one. I moved in with a friend to LA in April of 1986. After he and his wife decided to move in with her parents I moved in with my brother in Phoenix on 06/06/1986 (not really 06/06/06 but you get the idea). I hated it back then. There were very few freeways and very few well-paying jobs (that I could find anyway).

I eventually ended up moving back there a few years later and enjoyed living there the 2nd and 3rd times around.

When Ronald Reagan was elected in 1980 the number in Maryland was 6-6-6! Ever since to me, 666 has been the sign of Ronald Reagan ! LOL! Happy Ronald Reagan Day!

Biblical references

the biblical references to the number and the anti-christ refer to the roman emperor at the time the book was written (within 60 years of the birth of Jesus)...not some futuristic son of satan.

the entire thing is completely misunderstood even today.

"The numbers 666 mean nothing, the actual "sign" of the the devil is 6106, the 66 was a misinterpretation. An ancient greek game with numbers and letters reveals that 6106 stands for Niro, which was the ruling emperor at that time. Basically the bible is stating that Niro is the devil, nothing more. People blew it way out of proportions."

the writer of the book of revelation (the apostle john) was sent to exile from israel by the romans. he wrote the letter to the church he used to pastor. since the romans would read the letter before passing it on to the jews, he had to write in code. the book is full of symbolism and codes that the readers would understand but the romans would not.

he is saying that the emperor was anti-christ (not the devil...just against Christ). the book also made prophecies about the future...most of which have already occured but, the key prophecy has not yet happened. the return of Christ.

The number 666 refers to The Beast. If you read Revelations regarding this Beast you will notice that John refers to 7 hills (Rome has 7 hills) and dressed in purple (the original popes were dressed in purple). The number 6 stands for man. The number 3 stands for God. Therefore the number 666 means man standing in the place of God which John thought the pope was trying to do at the time.

In numerology, which pre-dates Christianity, the number 666 is NOT an evil number.
