Brandon Phillips and Joe Nathan for Josh Johnson.

I really do need a SP.

I already have Aaron Hill at 2B.

My closers are Jenks, Hoffman, and Scott Downs.

Should I pull the trigger on this one?

I've been really high on Johnson this year but I don't trust Downs and Hoffman to keep their jobs for very long.

How many closers can you start?

I start two closers in my league.

I think Downs has pretty good stuff and could hold the closers role this season.

Im in a h-2-h league so it is all about saves.

Who are your starters? And how many can you start?

Let me know on those. You really are giving up a good deal more than you are getting back but that is not always bad in the right situations. I just want to make sure you are not deciding to scrap a stud starter too early after a poor start.

I wouldn't do that deal. Johnson would be an upgrade over some pitchers but not big enough to give up a sure thing closer and a very good infielder. Hoffman is past his prime and Downs is only in there until Ryan returns later this month. Jays want Downs as their setup guy.

It would make your team stronger for a month but then a good deal weaker IMO.

Jake is a fuckup with fantasy.

Your rotation is horrific.

Forget that trade and package something to someone else to get a top guy.

After Shields your number 2 is who? Brad Penny?Gavin Floyd? and you got 4 closers. Guys on a bench dont earn you points.

Package Nathan and hitter for a solid SP who stays healthy

Jackson, Santana, and Volstad are all legit starting fantasy pitchers. They might not have career resumes but all should have very good seasons. Floyd probably belongs in that group too.

Went thru with the Phillips and Nathan trade for Josh Johnson.

I understand what you were saying Jake, and I respect your opinion, but in the end I need a #1 SP and Johnson is that guy.

I will live with Hoffman and Jenks as my closers.

My rotation is so shitty b/c the guys in my league draft pitchers like they are going out of style. I had the 8th pick and went with all hitters because so many good ones were out there because of all the pitchers being taken. My first four picks went David Wright, Grady Sizemore, Jose Reyes, Matt Holliday in rounds 1-4.
