Lets just say you are on the last leg of a parlay to win the sample size of $1000.
Would you bet the other team at $500 just to guarantee yourself a payday?

I may like to gamble, but I didn't get to where I am in life by being stupid. Hell yes, you hedge that bad boy and pocket some cash.

if you're a $100 better...then yes you should hedge something. Half is a good number. If you're a $1000 bettor, then you're probably better off just letting it ride.

If you are inclined to hedge, then you are better off leaving the game off altogether. Then if you hit the other legs of the parlay, you can take your some/all/none of your winnings and put it on the last game.

I agree with above though, if you stand to win a substantially higher amount than you are used to, taking some profit might be wise. I would also look for a spot to arb it and win both ends, if possible.

But, the so called "experts" will tell you that if you are putting yourself in a spot where you are considering hedging, you are doing it wrong from the get go.

Give us more specific info bro. What is the last leg? Money line, points, dog, fav? Has the current line changed etc.. Can't really help without this info. How much is the original par worth if you loose?

here is an example. You hit 3 picks on your 4 team parlay. you are now waiting for the result of (for example) Dallas / Redskins game. You have Redskins on your parlay. Parlay wager is 500 to win 5000. What would you do here?

You still didn't say its a spread or ML wager... It determines how you hedge it once the info is given

Yea i did post that. Im still trying to figure this shit out. i dont get the hmmmm from you bro

It was just a weird post by you, it seemed like you knew what to do in this one and then today posted that one

A lot of factors come into play, it really all depends on how the line has changed and you personally

When I do those parlays I always do the last leg on the ML if a low number, if it was me and how my weekend went I would have prolly gone $1000 the opposite way, either win $500 or $3900, if you had a bad weekend go $2000, win $1500 or $3350, etc...

Hedging is often a sucker bet like taking even money on black jack. The odds are finally in your favor and you're giving those odds back. Hedging will lower your ROI over time.

I'd lose the original ROI of 10-1 to guarantee a payday in this case, if it was originally a 3-1 or 4-1 ROI then let it ride, but he was guaranteed coin
