10-1-1

Would have paid out over 5 Grand. Unfortunately, Baronman didnt even offer to pick up the tab on the next $10 parlay. Now he wants people to send money to T's mom. Why dont you lead the way and send some to her first, Baron?

BMan sets himself up for teasing, I give up, I've tried,

to clarify one last time-it went 10-1-1...BMan gave about 5 plays,
~T~ picked the wrong one of BMan's several...believe you me I know
as ~T~ and I talked about it several times LOL.
He would tend to forget after several glasses of Mac :drink:

Anytime we lose a member of the RX community, it's really sad.

Best to his family. Very sad news.

It is sad. Realize it is real life even though we are all faceless made up names to many behind a keyboard

Wish would have known sooner how bad his condition was. Would have reached out.

We all have heard it said. Treat each day as if it is your last, love those around you and always leave a postitive thought in their minds

Alcoholism is a disease that many won't talk about, won't admit they are an
alcoholic and most likely know an alcoholic.

We have all heard "functioning" alcoholic....many of us are/were...but as I told
my son the key word is alcoholic...

You can't quit for your friends, spouse, parents, kids...you have to do it for
yourself. It is a daily struggle. I was fortunate to only be a beer drinker.
I could drink 6 as fast as most drink 2. Again, luckily that filled me up quickly
and I was ready to go to sleep after 8-10 and not stay up all night drinking a case
or more. But doing it EVERY day for years....alcoholic

Nov 28th will be one year sober. I quit 9 years ago for 2 years but I wasn't strong enough
to stay sober. Believe you me, after what I've gone through lately, to not drink, I am
strong enough now!! It is still a daily battle though.

Anyone fighting this battle there is help out there...you just have to be ready to accept it.

Don't let this disease ruin your family, job, friends, or your life.

Okay that's my soapbox speech but if it saves one life it's worth itw-thumbs!^

Good luck to you, Timmy. Make the year at 11/28 and start counting the years. You can do it, bro.

I don't normally respond to much here because I don't want to get in the bullshit drama that goes on here but Timmy, your post describes me to a T.
I am also an alcoholic such as yourself. I could drink 10 beers to everybody's 5 and was drinking 18 plus beers every day.
You are 100% correct. You must stop for yourself first in order to quit.
I got a DUI back in January 2006 and while in jail, I knew how bad I had become. I also realized how lucky I was that I hadn't hurt or killed anyone.
I have been sober since January 29, 2006 and getting that DUi was the best thing to happen to me. I firmly believe that God had that happen. I now have 2 grandchildren and I get to bring them every where but if I was still drinking, that wouldn't happen.
Maybe Tmaders passing and Timmy, your story can help someone who is an alcoholic.
God bless Tmader and his family and friends and maybe his death won't be in vain.

Thanks for sharing & I'll be rooting for you every single day! You got this. 11/28/18......11/28/28.....11/28/38.....you're a strong person. Don't let it be 1 or 2 years, let it be for the rest of your life. Congrats to the old man so well. That's an awesome family story already! Again, best of luck with it all. It takes a lot of guts to tell us this kind of stuff....much appreciated.

This is a reason why we're a little family here.

Good story Timmy Rules. I hardly drink anymore. I might have couple beers in week. Pitcher bud light @SILKY SULLIVANS ON NFL DAY. Never drink before work or during . As you get older you have to take care of your health. Again very sad. Wish Tmader7 could said to say goodbye.

Bro ...big congrats to you on staying sober !

My one brother has had 3 DUI' S , but no jail time ....but I have to drive him everywhere because he lost his license ..

My other brother drinks in the car while he drives , everyday ...Vodka ....He's a functioning alcoholic , but is unbearable to be around , because of his sarcasm ... We used to be very close ...talking ponies and sports betting ,not anymore . I've lost all respect for both of my brothers because of this disease ...Both brothers will never change because they still believe they are strong enough to lick this on their own , which both are not ...Smart guys that made much more money per year then myself , but turned to the bottle to deal with life , which is sad ... I talk to both brothers about their issue , without success and I'm done , there ..

So what you have accomplished , taking back your life , is huge , in my opinion ... Big Congrats !!!
