Plus 222 is worth a play IMHO.

Frankly it is hard to bet against Trinadad but at plus 222 Mayorga is worth some thought. My advice is take the plus 222 and look to lay -180 late for a nice scalp.

Word of caution

I see that the line is now moving up so be carefull if you are going to try scalp - it may not happen. I had the feeling that the line was moving down but it does not look that way right now.

Tito is class of boxing, but hesitant to lay this number after two years off. Lots of years may take their toll. Wanted to take a flyer on Mayorga, but other than his owning Vernon and beating head case "six heads" his comp leaves a lot to be desired.:manwh:

I don't see any value in Mayorga. He has no boxing skills. Willing to take two punches to get his one punch in. Tito is too powerful a puncher to just wade in open like Mayorga does. Tito wins this fight.

I whipped together a little summarry for ya:

Round 1
Mayorga comes out and lands a huge right hand to open the action. Trinidad looks to box. Mayorga is swinging for the fences. The crowd chants, "Tito, Tito!" But the legend looks unsteady as Mayorga sends him into the ropes with a jab. Mayorga is bringing the noise early. Tito is looking to box. NO! With 45 seconds to go, Trinidad sits down and pounds Mayorga. Trinidad is comfortable and is pounding him! Mayorga is hurt! Trinidad is pounding him to end the round. Trinidad 10-9

Round 2
Mayorga is bleeding out of th enose to start the round. Mayorga lands early, but Trinidad comes back and POUNDS him with combinations. Trinidad is showing his chin and shooting back. The crowd backs Trinidad as he lands the more damaging punches! Mayorga seems tired. Mayorga lunges in with 45 seconds left in the round, but Trinidad composes himself and pounds back. So far, Trinidad has outlanded Mayorga 47-29. Trinidad 10-9

Round 3
Trinidad lands a gigantic left, right combination with 1:30 to go in the round, and Mayorga takes it like it's nothing. Trinidad is dominating the round, but can he hurt Mayorga? Mayorga lands an overhand right and Trinidad's glove touches the ground - knockdown! Trinidad is not hurt and jumps right back into action. Mayorga spits out mouthpiece at end of round - he looks tired. Mayorga 10-8

Round 4
This round is summarized in two phrases: 1) toe-to-toe action, 2) this fight isn't going 12 rounds! Draw 10-10

Round 5
To come.

Round 8
Felix Trinidad beat the hell out of Ricardo Mayorga this round. He knocked him down 3 times causing referee Steve Smogger to stop the fight. Trinidad had no ring rust. He out-classed a brave, courageous and game Ricardo Mayorga. I can't say enough about Mayorga and his courage. Mayorga, go back to 147 and fight Zab Judah! Trinidad, the world is your oyster and you are its pearl!
