I'm really trying to take up golf as a regular hobby.
I've played 2 rounds of 9 holes ( starting at the cheap, 9 hole golf course.) The first time my back was sore for a week, probably because my messed up swing.
Next time I took a friend who knows a tiny bit about golf. I worked on things like keeping my head down. And he had me pause for a brief second at the top of my swing, as I was getting a better stroke like that. He described my swing as my body loading up and trying to unleash on the ball. probably not a good thing. lol.
What tips would you give a newbie?
My putting is just horrific... I cannot use a wood unless I'm hitting of a tee. not sure why. I've been to the driving range a bunch and played ona golf simulator a handful of times, but otherwise completely a beginner.
I am sure I could use better equipment as right now I am just using a set I bought at target in College when I thought about getting into it. I finally bought some golf shoes.
