AT ALL TIMES, one should be aware of the risks the offshore gambling market entails.

It has been proven in the past a sportsbook can go belly up at ANY time of year.

Having said that, I absolutely believe that certain times of the year sportsbooks are more vulnerable.

One of those times is just around the corner and that is the conclusion of the NBA Finals.

The reason being that we are are heading into a really slow 2 month slow season in the sportsbetting world.

Now is a good time for everyone to evaluate their positions before football season arrives, and make the necessary adjustments if they feel it is warranted.

Anyway, something to think about.

I think this will be a better year. The US Elections will stall the offshore transfer ban. Then either the Republicans, feeling they have a mandate to "protect Americans" or JFK2 (McCain's buddy) will cause all kinds of problems. The transfers need to be there this year also so that "foreign donors" can participate in this "democratic process".

That doesn't mean that unscrupulous or under-financed books can't hit the road at any time. BetPanAm is an example. I expected them to be around forever.
