Unreal--- Tim Tebow is not in the top 5 of college football players.

I assume this about the Heisman--he shouldn't be in the top three discussion.

And what are you basing that statement on?
The kind of year he is having I would think he deserves consideration

if by best you mean great talent but not getting it done then yes

They are a young team that is still developing into their own. What is your team's excuse for being an overrated squad who has not sniffed a title game much less play in one & actually win.

Florida would beat WV by a minimum of 10 points.

put a healthy tebow against georgia and they spank them and play lsu in the sec title game and possibly contend for the nat. title. unfortunately injuries are part of the game.

and yes tebow should win the heisman by a long shot and then repeat as heisman winner next year.

Yes, I guess he is also the best defensive back in the country. I couldn't remember who Mel Kiper has rated as the number DB in the country. I don't believe it was Tim Tebow. Maybe because Tebow plays safety, that's it, they say he is a run-stuffer.

WV has been in a title game (pre-BCS) so maybe do some research before you blow hot air. Keep telling yourself that all the way to the Gator bowl while West Virginia is once again in a BCS bowl.

Do I have an excuse for being 8-1? no, not really and I don't think I need one.

Tebow is not near the best player in the country

But, he is the most overrated
Are you being serious, have you watched a game of college football this year, or are you completely fucking stupid? I'd venture to guess all of the above. Please explain to me in one aspect how Tim Tebow is overrated. Is it his passing efficiency? Yep, must be that. No, I get it, it must be his passing yardage+td's AND his rushing yardage+td's. Yep, that's it. Completely overated.
If you want to tell me the Gators are overrated, then maybe I can sort of see your point, but to say that Tebow himself is overated is complete stupidity. Your ability to make a decent assesment of a college football player is overated.:happyass:

I think he is basing this on the system he plays in. For example a RB at TT and Hawaii is never going to get as many carries as someone at Navy. I could be wrong, but that is what i am guessing. Tebow is great player, but Urban could careless about Tebow. He is big and strong, but unlike most running backs who are smaller than him, he is eventually going to take a shot on his shoulder that is going to cause him to miss a couple of games. Not saying it right, but I think defenses try and put a little more punch into a hit when it is the QB runnning.

BY DAVID JONES
FLORIDA TODAY
[/FONT]Texas quarterback Colt McCoy is the favorite among most to claim the Heisman Trophy. But with a few breaks, Florida's Tim Tebow still has a shot at winning a second one, after taking the honor in 2007. But Tebow said Monday his focus is on Alabama and winning the SEC Championship on Saturday in Atlanta.
"It's special. I don't want to put that down at all because that is a very prestigious award and it means a lot," Tebow said. "It would mean a lot to win it. But that's kind of totally out of my mind frame and something I'm not even thinking about or worrying about. Our goal is to win the SEC championship and that's our focus."
McCoy is taking the same attitude about Saturday's Big 12 Championship Game against Nebraska.
"I think every college football player that suits up on Saturdays dreams of winning the Heisman Trophy," McCoy said Monday. "It's a very special award, a very hard to get award. I think it's truly a team award, that's how I see it in my mind. The success that you and your teammates have will determine that. For me, I don't go into a game trying to win the Heisman Trophy at all. I've never in my career, in my life, have I done that for any award. I go into the game trying to be the best I can be and give our team the best opportunity to win."

Tebow and guard Mike Pouncey were named co-SEC offensive player of the week and offensive lineman of the week, respectively.
