What do you think of Andruw Jones for Sosa, plus cash considerations?glaken said:It looks like the Bravos are trying to shore up the pitching staff...there will be more moves I'm sure. On the morning radio sportstalk, the crew was throwing out Sosa and Millwood rumors. I'm not so sure that Sosa would not be an OK fit here....getting Millwood back would be a huge plus. He still has a home here in Atlanta and is great friends with Chipper Jones.
I hope they work on the Bullpen; it was just as culpable as the hitting in the Post Season. Anyway..we all have to survive Bowl season, NFL Playoffs, and ofcourse the Big Dance in March.
Then we get down to serious Bases.
Look forward to seeing the Props for Smoltz Total Wins; I don't see too many books posting this prop before March. My guess would be O/U 13....He has never pitched more than three innings in three years; he will probably work hard in the offseason with Leo Mazzone, the pitching coach. The JJer is close on the number, I won't bet the prop over 13 I don't think..have to see how Spring Training goes.jjgold said:I do not like Smotlz as starter, no way he wins more than 11 games
Nobody asked me but I think it would be a bad move for the Braves. Jones is a gold glove fixture in center while Sosa an adventure anywhere he plays the field. I can see Sosa playing for the new Nationals with the Cubs paying at least half the freight. Not to mention offensively Sosa (these days ) is not much better than Jones. What do you think of Andruw Jones for Sosa, plus cash considerations?
