Former Bulls coach Tim Floyd,
last seen in a popular Internet video in which he appeared to be breaking up a fight involving at least six women in a casino cafeteria, is back in the NBA with another team he once coached, the New Orleans Hornets.
Floyd, who left his coaching job at USC last summer amid reports of recruiting irregularities involving O.J. Mayo, will serve as an assistant on the staff of new Hornets coach Jeff Bower, who also serves as New Orleans' general manager.
Byron Scott, who replaced Floyd as coach of the Hornets after the 2003-04 season, was fired today after a 124-104 loss at Phoenix on Wednesday dropped the team's record to 3-6.
In four seasons at USC, Floyd was 85-50 and led the Trojans to three NCAA tournament appearances. Floyd was 49-190 with the Bulls, resigning during his fourth season on Christmas Eve of 2001.
