Thoughts here?

I see two big issues here:

Gallarga's numbers in his last 7 games: (0-6 7.61 ERA).

White Sox bats: Averaging 2.42 runs in their last 7 games.

On the other hand, Detroit's bats are solid, and Clayton Richard is currently the better pitcher between the two starters. Which aspect will show up and which one will not?
________________________________________________________________

My take: Gallarga is due for a good outing. He began the season on fire, and now he gets to throw against the slumping White Sox. Clayton Richard is taking the mound against Detroit's bats, which are much better than the teams he has recently faced (Oakland, KC, Pittsburgh). Based on these issues, I find it hard to back the White Sox in this position despite the pitching match-up and home-field. Continue to ride hot teams, and fade cold teams until the streaks end. Today could easily be the day the White Sox get their bats together, but it could also be the day that Gallarga gives us his 'A' game like he did early in the season. Prediction: DET 5 CWS 3.

Take Detroit +105 for the afternoon play.

If you are into trends, Statfox has this one:

Play On
Home teams when the money line is +125 to -125 (CHI WHITE SOX)
poor offensive team - scoring <=4.7 runs/game on the season (AL), after scoring 4 runs or less 5 straight games

42-19 over the last 5 seasons.
68.9% (23.3 units)

So you're playing Tigers but the trend you posted says play White Sox? Am I reading that right?

Yeah. I am on the Tigers. I said if you like Trends you can go for it with the White Sox and that trend. Two different posts...sorry for the confusion. Just thought it was worth mentioning because 68.9% is pretty high for the Statfox situational trends. Just spreading information so that people can make better decisions on their plays. I'm not into creating threads without any useful information or write-up.

CAPIT. Good to see ya buddy, we are on the same side here so I like it as usual. If we get the 1st I will put 1 unit on game 2 I am just not ready to put any money on Bonderman till he shows me what he has and since its his first start he is probably on 75 pitches or so.
