Journeyman, really need your opinion on my Mets to Win the NLCS vs the Cards bet...risked 7.6 to win 5 ... really think the line is begging for Cards money and it simply is the Mets year to shine...they have all the pieces in place, and for every star they lose, someone steps up and handles business .... Perez had a down year, and I think the Mets are going to be VERY HAPPY to have acquired him...although I think it was stupid to let go Nady, someone with IMMENSE potential, its obvious they let go of such raw talent for a reason...they know Perez has ALL the stuff to be a top shelf pitcher...he had a down eyar, playing for a shit team, and even when he arrived to NY he still hadnt gotten out of his seasong long funk that he was in...he did shown signs of brilliance, striking out 11 at Florida in 5 innings, but getting a ND, and having solid K #'s in each game...he just might be the spark they need to replace Pedro...of coure Pedro is one of the most dominant pitchers of the decade, and his injury is a HUGE blow to the Mets, but why would the books still have the Mets as -190 favs to advance to the World Series with all the probs they have with their rotation and with the Cards coming out strong with a dominating series over the Pads...its funny how much raw talent the Pads have let go...Jason Bay is of course the biggest loss, Oli Perez who i mentioned above (the only guy who is comparable to Randy Johhnsons stuff imo), and X-Nady who has been making noise anywhere he has been...anyway, have a chance to buy back my Mets -190 back at antoher site for +170...do you reccomend i stick to it, or buy it back and only lose 4/5ts of a unit in j uice...your opinion would reall help

Zoom didn't really look that sharp....hopefully Todd Jones will look a little better in the 9th. They'll go from seeing 103mph fastballs to 82mph cutters!!

That can't be easy....:smoking: :smoking: :smoking:

i dont know of anyone off the top of my head in mlb that even throws 101...there might be a few who throw 100 on occassion...

The replay clearly shows the runner was out. The ump, this time, made the correct call.

just seeing the DET coaching staff brings back memories of the early 90's pirates, and the awesome games they had with the Braves. I'm a huge Braves head, down there i see, Andy Van Slyke, Don Slaught, Rafael Belliard, and of course Jim Leyland, ya gotta love when a coach rolls with his own players....they have really done a hell of a job

Bob Gibson comes to mind instantly but I'm not 100% certain he clocked at/over 100 often. He was fast and could hit the glove 99 times out of 100 where ever you put it.

Leyland probably a shoe-in for MOY in the American League...what a great story.

On the other hand, if I could only give it to ONE MANAGER in the entire league, I'd be that guy from Florida who got fired (name slipping my mind right now). They were supposed to be a girls t-ball team this year. That mofo brought them back from an 11-31 start to over .500, plus had them on the fringe of the wild card with a few weeks left. To me...that's the story of the year in MLB, considering how bad they were supposed to be. Amazing.:103631605 :103631605
