Setting himself up to have yet another excuse to pull out early after he fails miserably.

He's also setting himself up for further injury. This is what happens when you have multi-million dollar endorsement contracts, and the pressure to stay in the spotlight. He would be better off just calling it a season and getting healed up. But I doubt he will until after the PGA.
