Guys are shooting 63 ? Do I read guys as plural ? Only 7 of the 154 entrants are shooting below par and this course is easy ? Perhaps you should hit the links and show these novices how to play the game ! I will put - 5000 that you can't break par on this easy course !

It is a par 70, so Tiger ended up -7 on the day which dozens and dozens of players have done before in Majors.
If he had shot 63, he would have been the 11th player to shoot -8 in a round in a major. A few other guys have shot -9, including twice at the PGA.
Two dozen players shot in the 60s today. You had guys like Paul McGinley and Darren Clarke carding 66s. Several players had bogey-free rounds, which you shouldn't see at a major.

And not to take anything away from this feat , too be perfectly honest , I was just busting VDs balls ... I realize the magnitude of a 63 , and I realize this is by no means an easy course .... And Tiger is no Bum , hes the best there is bar none.
ps - I also shot a 68 at Spyglass Hill , and a 69 at Bandon Dunes ( xbox360 )

US Open 2002 played at Bethpage N.Y's Black Course was a par 70 back then and probably one of the toughest courses that any major has ever been played on. Tiger won it at 3 under and was the only player in the field to finish under par despite shooting a 2 over 72 on Sunday. His best round was a 3 under 67 on Thursday. Lefty finished 2nd 3 shots back at even par.
Just as an FYI John Daly shot 81 on Saturday that year and ended up tied for 70th with a guy named Tom Gillis who I think is really poster Viejo Dinosaur in real life..:missingte
