Maybe Stevie dumped him
He has to work doesn't he????

If Tiger gets over his injury he'll also get the 6 inches between his ears straightened out and will come back as strong as ever. My doubts have always been if he'll EVER get over his injury to the point where he won't have to drastically change his swing. This is where I have my doubts.. Not his ability to win. By the way I think he should have gotten rid of Steve Williams last year before he even came back and attempted to play. He needs to cut all ties to the past. A golfer of his caliber and reputation can find a good caddie anywhere.
These young players are all very good. But there's nobody out there who is dominating the PGA Tour. We're getting a new winner (and a new number 1) almost every week. The Europeans have improved. But none of them can even dominate their own tour, much less the US tour. It's wide open and in my opinion not that much different than before except for the fact there is more raw talent out there for Tiger to deal with every week. But not dominating talent. Tiger's chances of breaking Nicklaus record probably aren't all that great. But I'm not so sure it would have been that easy even before the scandals and injuries. His Major wins numbers dropped significantly after those dream years around 2000-02 to basically averaging a little over 1 major a year. Which means if he would have gone a year or two without winning a major, he would have been well into his 40's before getting that 19th major win. And that's barring injuries. He could potentially still do it. But his window of opportunity has shrunken by a few years.Good post.....all these tournaments are pretty much up in the air right now on Sundays, I personally think if Tiger finds his game again, or recovers from his injury or whatever it is that is really wrong with him, then he will be at the top again. I think the fields have gotten deeper, but right now we are just watching what was going on behind tiger. If tiger is playing good, these guys still can't hold a candle to him. If Rory can do what he did at congressional somewhat consistently, he is in the ballpark. Other than that and if tiger can play well again, its the same old story, there is tiger and then there is the rest of the field

He is ahead of the pace jack was on when he did it......of course jack wasn't dealing with stuff like this either.....I hope he does it, but who knows anymore. No telling how many problems tiger has, we will never know. The sad thing about it if he doesn't get the record is in tigers eyes, his career would be a failure as the majors record is the only thing he has ever cared about, and he is not shy about letting that be known
One of the reasons he is ahead of the pace is because Tiger is the Larry Holmes of golf. He feasted on a decade of decent golfers, like Holmes did with a bunch of stiffs, outside of Phil, a pretty weak era most of us can agree too.. Ceartainly not Jack's era with Palmer, Player, Trevino, Miller, etc. Tiger was great, not taking anything away from him, but he wouldn't have got away with the mental domination in Jack's era.
You can argue that if you want, but I argue that tiger was just that much better and I also think that athletes in every sport are better than they were 20 yrs ago. Now a days, golfers are athletes, they practice more, they have swing coaches, putting coaches, better equipment, schools, they play better courses, they workout, their swings are def better and the main thing, their is a hell of a lot more of them.......I def don't think golfers across the board, back in the day are as good as they are today. I'm not saying they couldn't have been as good if they were doing all the things that are being done today, I'm just saying golf has evolved and grown as much as any sport.....just my opinion.....BTW, jacobson smoked stenson even with the bad end of the draw
