Thursday's Plays (5-0 Last Night)

Swept the board last night with 4 college basketball plays (3 of them winning by 20+) and 1 bonus NBA play. Which puts me at 9-1 posted plays in the NCAA Hoops thread for the past two days.

I have one early play for today. Missouri beat Chattanooga by 28 (103-75). Chattanooga was only down 6 at the half, but if you check out this box score, Chattanooga had 10 assists and 20 turnovers. Chattanooga also gave up 17 offensive rebounds, had 0 blocks in the game, and only 2 steals. Memphis is the play here. And maybe worth two units. Memphis plays much stronger defense, they held UMass to only 58 points. Memphis, I assume, has better defense than Missouri, and Missouri still managed to force 20 turnovers. Memphis should win this game roughly 87-55. The play for this afternoon is:

Memphis -24 for 1 unit.

I have a strong lean on the Chattanooga/Memphis Under 163 and I am still deciding whether to play it or not.

The only reason Chattanooga has scored 70+ is because their opponents scored triple digits = giving Chattanooga extra possessions, and their opponents had no reason to play defense. Memphis on the other hand, has been very strong defensively. Allowing 63 and 58 points in their first two games. I honestly can't see Chattanooga passing 65 points in this one, and Memphis shouldn't put up triple digits either.

I just went to place a bet on the Memphis Under. It opened at 165 range and fell a few points, I clicked to bet the Under 162, and it said that the line had moved to 159. I liked this play a lot, but now I am not going to play it. So we are just rooting for Memphis. Good Luck guys.

Cal Poly put up 40 points in their first game and shot terrible from the field. Rice is much better offensively and could not hang onto their lead against Portland State losing 74-78. I'm not sure about what defense will be played in this game, but I do know that Rice has a solid edge offensively. I think Rice will turn their program around (possibly be .500 this year) with their new coach Ben Braun, who is the former coach of California. California went 17-16 last season and 6-12 in their tough Pac-10 conference. Rice may not have the best players this year but I think they have a nice edge tonight against Cal Poly's weak offense. If Cal Poly's first game was a fluke, we will find out soon, but any team that scores 40 points in their opener is worthy of betting against in their second game. Clearly some issues going on. So I'll take a shot on Rice tonight.

Memphis could care less right now. It was fine to start the 2nd half because they were playing solid defense, but now they aren't even playing offense. Won't be surprised if they don't cover...I liked the under a lot better.

Memphis didn't care today, Rice covered by a point, and my 2 unit Oklahoma State play dominated that first half (54-28).

I regret taking Memphis today, woulda rather played the under, but thats easy to say now.

Awaiting the bonus play of Lakers/Suns over 205. I was able to get a good number on it as it closed at 208. I may have a 2nd Half play in that one...
