Now, ill tell ya, i havent posted any of my picks here cause im pretty new and also new to baskets. i hadnt really thought of taking the ML favs at all. but i am going thru my sheets here for the past 5 days and i would be 18-1 honestly. i dont play them cause it would be too many plays to make, so i keep track of them on the bottom of my markings paper for the day. these teams hit most of the time and came close to losing by a half or did lose by a half. so this is why i havent yet started playing them really...i want to see if im just lucky or maybe i have some kind of <GASP

yeah, 18-1 on fav's would still make money...but 18-1 on dogs would be 10x more
I tried that whole betting on paper thing before I started, but it lasted 4.6 minutes. I figured if I'm going to do the work researching, I better be making some money off it.
Don't worry about losing when you start, just bet really small. Then you can show the hubby who's boss.

I think eventually ML Favs will catch up to you. You should get a chart that's used for baseball to give you a better idea. If you're laying -200, you have to hit around 90% to be profitable in the long run. I would look for solid underdogs in the +130-+150 range. Then you only would need to hit 40-45 % to be profitable in the long run.
