Thursday's Selection ...

For Thursday, Raise The Bar 1500♦ is the Tulsa Golden Hurricane as the road underdog at the Temple Owls. At 7:15 am eastern time, Tulsa is +7 points in Vegas and offshore. Note: I advise buying the half-point up on Tulsa if your line is either +6 /12 or +7 points.

Not 100% convinced that Temple's 35-14 upset win at Maryland last weekend is an automatic "buy sign" this Thursday night against the revenge-minded Golden Hurricane who did drop a 43-22 contest at home last year to the Owls in a game where Tulsa was on the wrong side of the turnover ledger by a whopping 3!

Tulsa is playing this one off of back-to-back losses at Texas, and home to Arkansas State. Phil Montgomery's team did cover as the underdog in their loss at Texas, as the Golden Hurricane improved to 16-6 against the spread as the road dog since 2014. That mark includes a road dog cover at Temple back in 2014 when they lost to the Owls by 11 as the +17 point dog.

The Owls are already off to an 0-2 straight up and against the spread start to this season as the home favorite, as Geoff Collins' team has lost to both Villanova and to Buffalo. Couple that with 3 spread losses last year when laying points at home, and Temple is on an 0-5 spread slide as the home chalk.

Tulsa won outright only twice last season, and are off to a 1-2 start to the new season. It is time for the Golden Hurricane to improve their fortunes this year, and while they may not win this game outright, the points are tempting enough for me to take a bite into this juicy underdog.

With Temple being a real money-burner as the home chalk, going to grab the points here on Thursday night and look for this one to be hotly-contested.
Maybe they don't get their outright revenge, but going to look for this one to be a lot closer than the 3 TD spread from a season ago.

There is a ton of pressure on the Browns to win this game and the Jets will want to pound the ball as much as possible in this game as I think they are still playing conservative with rookie QB Sam Darnold.

This total opened at 40 and after 2362 early tickets tracked people are backing the over 82% of the tickets and money wise it sits around 65%. That is not surprising because people love the overs on prime time games but these two teams play to unders.

The total has gone UNDER in 11 of Cleveland's last 14 games at home
The total has gone UNDER in 4 of NY Jets's last 6 games

I actually think we will be seeing a ton of running from both sides and let's not forget the kicking issues for the Browns.

I see a hard fought low scoring game one that we will be taking advantage of on Thursday night. Invest 10 units on the under here.

Cleveland Browns at home over the N.Y. Jets. At 8:15 am eastern time, the Browns are a solid -3 points both Vegas and offshore. As always, I do advise buying the half-point down on Cleveland if your line is anywhere between -3 to -4 1/2 points.
