Fox has stated that Carolina will play it's starters for the first half.

Eli Manning will play most, if not all of the first half for Coughlin - and Manning is still a rookie and will be playing against a top flight defense.

I wanted to place a first half wager on Carolina, but all of my outs had Carolina -1.5 to -2.5 at -125 through -160, so I looked at the first and second Q wagers, and I lucked out (I hope) - Olympic has what I'm looking for

Carolina -0.5 +145 for the first Q - 1/2 unit
Carolina -0.5 +115 for the second Q - 1/2 unit

Nice call. Carolina looked solid throughout.

My Giants are definitely going to struggle on defense but Manning looks a little ahead of schedule for a rookie. Overall a rough season ahead for the G-Men if the pre-season is any sign of what's to come.

Lou: You are right. The Giant's secondary looked terrible and their offensive line was like a sieve.

The bright spot was that I thought both Manning and Warner looked good and played well, but if the Giant front line plays like they did last night both QB's will finish the season on the disabled list.

I think it will take a while for Coughlin to get this team straight. Did you see the Dayne TD - what a joke - and the defense ain't much to write home about.
The Giants are my other team, and I'll be rooting for them, but I'll only bet on them when they're dogs - and then I'll hold my nose doing it.
