How does -1 give a safety net?

Because if those teams only win by a run(which happens entirely too often), I'll push. I'm a lot more comfortable with the payout at -1 and pushing than -1.5 and a team winning a close game and losing $. Just a personal preference, but I can deal with the lesser payout at -1 and the risk of a push and not having to win by more than a run and getting the L.

Thanks Ku...i got offered a ticket, $175 a few rows back, but I can't go. I'll be watching, though.

And yeah, maybe logistically I'm costing myself $, but it's more of a comfort level thing for me. I've actually been burned a few times this season on the -1.5s when they only won by 1, so that's why I lean towards the -1s, and I've gotten a push or two already. So it's just a safety thing. But I understand your point. I guess it comes down to personal experience with that stuff.

Thanks for the comment though, and don't worry about coming off as rude. AZ and Pitt are tied right now, St. Louis didn't bring their bats to the yard tonight, but the Braves definitely did. I'll take a 2-1 night, even if it means you gotta lose one. hahaha but good luck.
