YESTERDAY 2-1 +4.65 UNITS
Here is tonights selections:
10 Units Dallas Mavericks -3.5 -102
Dallas had a three-game winning streak ended by a 100-90 loss to Washington on Wednesday. The Mavs (3-2 SU, 1-4 ATS)have jumped out to take the leadership role in the Midwest. As always, the potent Mavs offense is already averaging 105 ppg and they're barely warmed up!!! The Mavs are shooting 46% from the field but, also as usual, the team defense allows opponents to hit field goals at a 45% rate. Dirk Nowitzki and Antoine Walker lead the offense averaging 23 and 17 ppg. The Raptors (3-1 SU, ATS) Vince Carter (26 ppg)is healthy and that means on any given night 50 points is a possibility. The Raptors are shooting at a 48% clip and they even play some defense with opponents averaging 34% from the field. Expect a run and gun show on Thursday with the well armed Mavs taking the road win!!!
5 Units Los Angeles Lakers -9.5 -108
The Best of the West hit the hardwood on Thursday but the bloom is off the rose on this one with Tim Duncan out, nursing an ankle injury. The Lakers on the other hand, (4-0 SU, 1-3 ATS) are at full strength. Even Kobe says his knee is just fine following Tuesday's 31 points in 40 minutes performance, when the Lakers topped the Bucks 113-107 after the Bucks had led by as many as ten points in the second half. With Gary Payton leading the way, the Lakers are outscoring opponents 103-93 and shooting 46%. Even without Tim Duncan, the Spurs (3-2 SU, 1-4 ATS) knocked off the hapless Heat 80-73 on Tuesday. Tony Parker still hasn't played in the reguar season due to an ankle sprain as well. Expect the Spurs, with Duncan sidelined, to be outmanned for this game!!!
