Here is tonights selection:
7 Units Miami Ohio -14.5 -102
As you can tell by the total, this will be a game of offensive fireworks. And why not? Louisville has a wide-open, aggressive offense under first-year coach Bobby Petrino, while Miami of Ohio has future NFL QB Big Ben Roethlisberger. Louisville averages 35 points and over 200 yards rushing and passing per game behind junior QB Stefan LeFors (2,921 passing yards), WR J.R. Russell (1,069 yards receiving) and RBs Eric Shelton and Lionel Gates. Louisville's defense, however, has been a little shaky, especially lately: The Cardinal has allowed 31, 37, 45 and 40 points the last four games! And it doesn't get any easier in this bowl game against Miami of Ohio (12-1 SU, 9-4 ATS), a club that averages 42 points and 493 yards per game. Miami carries a 12-game win streak into this bowl and hasn't lost since August (a 21-3 defeat to Iowa). This offense moves swiftly on the arm of Roethlisberger (33 TDs, 10 INTs, 4,110 yards, 69% completions) and a very strong (and underrated) defense that allows 18 points pg. Louisville lost 37-15 to Marshall (of the MAC) in last year's GMAC bowl, and should lose again to the MAC here.
