Occamsrazor, i asked you this once before but forgot your answer,,, what % of bankroll do you play each game.. i remember it was little high and i completely understood your reasoning behind, so you dont have to go through that again,,, as i remeber you said, "its easier and better to go 1-0 as it is to go 4-3 in a day".
I play anywhere from 10% to 20% of bankroll. Suicidal?? Not really for me. At 10% 10 straight losers wipe me out at 20% 5 straight losers does me in. Busted a couple of times through out the years. My main objective is bankroll preservation. If I lose 3 in a row at 20% my next bet would be around 5% lose 2% and so on. If losing I scale % way down. When I start winning I up the %.
I'm highly selective and have learned patience through out the years. When I was young and betting 3 or 4 games a day. There would come a couple of games during the week that were an excellent bet. I would load up on them and it they would usually win. I usually was losing for the week and when this game came and won it would even me up. I started saying to myself, "Man if I just wait for these excellent bets and cut out all the other crap I would be alright. Thus my style was born. Even now I should be even more selective. The quality bets add up through out the year. For me whan betting a bunch the closer I get to 50%, and the juice eats you up.
With less bets but more quality, I can hover around 55% Quality over quantity. It works for me. Also, I learned to draw from the pot. Many, many years ago I ran $500 to $17,000 during a year of gambling and then back down to $0. I remember saying man I should bought something when it was a 5,000 or 10,000 or at anytime I was ahead. Now I gamble to take money out and not just for gamblings sake.
I just noticed I went through the reasons again Oh well.
