We have had people enquire about what is going on Thursday night. Plans for Friday night's dinner have mostly been agreed upon to go to Lotus of Siam. We have had 2 suggestions for dinner on Thursday night-

Café Martorano:
http://www.cafemartorano.com/
Italian restaurant.

Firefly:
http://www.fireflylv.com/
Tapas restaurant.

We can have everyone go to the one voted on the most or we can have 2 separate groups.

What is your preference?

Did you notice the menu at Firefly? That's a lot of stuff to eat. I was thinking it was going to be small dishes but it sounds like each dish is quite a bit.

QL,
They are all small dishes. About three or four plates per person will make for a meal. It is a tapas place, meaning you can order about 50 things they keep them coming and everyone tries a little of each.
Everyone I have ever taken there has raved about the food except PornoPaul.
I'd say without alcohol it would run between $20 and $30 per person.

You know where I stand.

And if the choice for Thursday goes to Firefly, then I will be going to Café Martorano on Wed. Night. Any and All can join in.

If we get there early then

[Happy Hour]

Monday - Thursday, 3-6 pm
Friday, 3-5 pm

1/2 off all drinks*
*does not include bottled wine

The does not include bottled wine tells me that happy hour is included in the dinning room?

How about Sunday night? I would like to go to CM and that's the only night I haven't planned for dinner.

Sounds kind of like dimsum. For those of you who have never been to a dimsum restaurant, you get little dishes of Chinese food and everyone shares. You just pay once though and you get as much as you can eat.

The dishes run from $4 to $12 I think, with the more expensive stuff being seafood. It is similar to dim sum but not all you can eat.

Drinks are I think in the $5 to $10 range. Specialties are sangria and my personal favorite mojitos.

I assume you mean Tony Roma's across from the Lotus of Siam. I'll save you a trip as there is a Tony Roma's in the Fremont right next to the Golden Nugget downtown.

BTW, the location you speak of is where Lefty Rosenthal had his car blown up if you remember the scene from the movie "Casino". (At least I think it was him, could have been Spilotro).
