KEY STAT: Ivory Coast have scored in their last 26 matches

EXPERT VERDICT: Colombia were powerful and bold in possession against Greece but they were caught out more frequently than the 3-0 scoreline in that win suggests. They deserve favouritism but concerns over their defensive capabilities when faced with the greater attacking threat presented by Ivory Coast makes both teams to score the bet.

RECOMMENDATION: Both teams to score

KEY STAT: Both teams have scored in just three of England’s last 11 games

EXPERT VERDICT: A surge of money for England after a positive performance in defeat to Italy has left them too short. However, their attacking players could run the Uruguay defence ragged. Steven Gerrard’s price to score first reflects his holding role but England’s set-piece specialist is likely to get several free kicks and possibly even a penalty in a tense game.

RECOMMENDATION: S Gerrard first goalscorer

KEY STAT: Japan have scored 18 goals in their last seven matches

EXPERT VERDICT: Free-scoring Japan should have some joy against a Greek outfit who place less emphasis on defence than previously. Greece’s more enterprising approach was evident in their opener against Colombia and they look capable of getting on the scoresheet too, especially if Japan continue their habit of starting quickly then wilting.

RECOMMENDATION: Both teams to score

Colombia v Ivory Coast
[h=2]2014 FIFA WORLD CUP[/h]
  • Venue: Estadio Nacional, Brasilia
  • Date: Thursday 19 June
  • Kick-off: 17:00 BST
[h=2]TEAM NEWS[/h]Colombia could name the same starting line-up which defeated Greece 3-0 in their opening game.
Midfielder Fredy Guarin is available after a ban but forward Carlos Bacca is missing because of a muscle problem.
Ivory Coast coach Sabri Lamouchi must decide whether to recall captain and record scorer Didier Drogba.
If he does, Lamouchi will either have to change system or drop striker Wilfried Bony, who scored in their 2-1 victory against Japan.
[h=2]MATCH PREVIEW[/h]Heavy traffic in Belo Horizonte meant Colombia arrived late for their World Cup opener, yet Los Cafeteros made a flying start to their first World Cup game for 16 years, scoring against Greece after five minutes.
In contrast, the Ivory Coast were caught napping in their first game - understandable given it began at 23:00 local time. They were a goal down to Japan after 16 minutes but recovered to record a deserved 2-1 win.
It's fast becoming a habit. The Ivorians have fallen behind in two of their three World Cup victories, and while they have scored in six of seven games at the tournament, they have netted the opening goal just once.

Victory against Greece was a real confidence booster for Colombia, who lost several key players to injury before the tournament.
Coach Jose Pekerman has a reputation as a "tactical chameleon", and sprang a surprise by switching from the 4-4-2/4-2-2-2 system favoured in qualifying to a 4-2-3-1.
That formation makes sense given their depleted striking options - Falcao was ruled out before Brazil, while Carlos Bacca will miss the rest of the group stage with a muscle injury.
It also frees James Rodriguez from the left flank, enabling him to roam centrally, dictating from deep and linking up with dangerous right winger Juan Cuadrado.
In-form Cuadrado assisted two of Colombia's three goals, exposing the defensive deficiencies of Greek left-back Jose Holebas. Ivory Coast's number three, Arthur Boka, is also likely to have his hands full.

On the opposite side of the Ivorian backline, another full-back could have a key role.
Toulouse's Serge Aurier, 21, created both goals against Japan with crosses from the right flank.
The Ivorians ended that game with Didier Drogba and Wilfried Bony up front, two formidable target men who thrive on that type of delivery.
Perhaps anticipating this game would be pivotal, Colombia played two of their three warm-up games this year against African opposition, but looked defensively vulnerable in draws against Tunisia and Senegal.
They were let off the hook by Theofanis Gekas' incredible miss on Saturday. Bony or Drogba are unlikely to be as profligate.
[h=2]MATCH FACTS[/h]Head-to-head

  • This is the first time the sides have met.
  • Colombia coach Jose Pekerman guided Argentina to a 2-1 win over Ivory Coast at the 2006 World Cup.
Colombia

  • Colombia's 3-0 win against Greece was their biggest at a World Cup.
  • Los Cafeteros have never gone unbeaten in back-to-back World Cup matches and have never won more than one game at any edition of the tournament.
  • They are unbeaten in their last eight games (W4, D4) since losing 2-0 in Uruguay on 10 September 2013.
  • If they avoid defeat it will be their longest undefeated streak since a nine-match run between 2007 and 2008.
  • Against the Greeks, Juan Cuadrado became the first Colombian to provide two assists in a World Cup match since 1962.
  • James Rodriguez has now scored three times in his last three international games.
  • Rodriguez had more touches (90) than any other player in the game against Greece.
  • Captain Mario Yepes will win his 100th cap.
Ivory Coast

  • Two of Ivory Coast's three wins at the World Cup have come after conceding the opening goal (3-2 v Serbia and Montenegro in 2006 and 2-1 v Japan in 2014).
  • Seven of their 11 goals at the World Cup have been scored in the final half hour of matches.
  • They have only failed to score once in their seven World Cup games (0-0 v Portugal in 2010).
  • However, they have netted the opening goal only once (in a 3-0 victory against North Korea in 2010).
  • Ivory Coast have gone almost a year without keeping a clean sheet. In their most recent eight games, both sides have scored.

[h=2]2014 FIFA WORLD CUP[/h]
  • Venue: Estadio das Dunas, Natal
  • Date: Thursday 19 June
  • Kick-off: 23:00 BST

[h=2]TEAM NEWS[/h]Japan striker Yoshito Okubo impressed as a substitute against Ivory Coast and could replace Yuya Osako up front.
Coach Alberto Zaccheroni must also decide whether to recall playmaker Yasuhito Endo, who played the final 36 minutes of their opening game.
Greece could make a change at left-back, with Georgios Tzavelas the obvious alternative to Jose Holebas, who had a poor game against Colombia.
Kostas Mitroglou and Ioannis Fetfatzidis may also earn recalls.
[h=2]MATCH PREVIEW[/h]Japan's disappointing defeat to Ivory Coast followed a frustratingly familiar script for fans of the Blue Samurai.
Despite taking the lead through Keisuke Honda's well-taken goal, they ran out of steam in hot and humid Recife, conceding two second-half goals in the space of 99 seconds.
It was a similar story at the Confederations Cup, when Alberto Zaccheroni's side played some good football but were undone by their propensity to concede late goals.
Seven of the nine goals they let in last summer came after half-time.
Zaccheroni has faced criticism back home for his decision to substitute captain and holding midfielder Makoto Hasebe after 54 minutes, whilst Japan were still leading.
The introduction of playmaker Yasuhito Endo was presumably intended to help the Japanese keep possession, but the 34-year-old offered little defensive protection to Japan's back four.
Creative midfielders Honda and Shinji Kagawa were also not immune from criticism. Honda lost possession 24 times, Kagawa 16 times - both team highs.
Kagawa was eventually substituted and later admitted "I lost a battle with myself", adding: "I couldn't get into a good rhythm and was beaten psychologically."

While Japan may rue losing momentum, Greece simply did not get going in their 3-0 loss to Colombia. Pablo Armero's goal means they have conceded within seven minutes in all three of their opening games at World Cups.
They have lost six of their seven games at the tournament, failing to score in any of those defeats. The only time they did net, in a 2-1 win against Nigeria in 2010, came when their opponents had been reduced to 10 men.
Coach Fernando Santos insists the 3-0 scoreline against the Colombians was harsh on his side, and forward Georgios Samaras believes the Greeks can take encouragement from their display in Belo Horizonte.
"Everyone expected we would have 11 men behind the ball, but I think what they saw was a team that likes to attack," he said.
"That philosophy will not change... We created chances against Colombia and that's something we can't forget."
[h=2]MATCH FACTS[/h]Head-to-head

  • The only previous meeting was at the 2005 Confederations Cup, when a goal from Masashi Oguro gave Japan a 1-0 win.
Japan

  • Japan have won two of seven World Cup games against European opposition (D2, L3).
  • Keisuke Honda has had a direct involvement in four of Japan's last five World Cup finals goals (three goals, one assist). He's the first Japanese player to score at two separate World Cups.
  • If Honda scores against Greece he will become the first Asian player to score four World Cup goals. Australia's Tim Cahill has five World Cup goals, but two were scored before the Socceroos switched from Oceania to Asia.
  • In the last 12 months, Japan have played 18 games, keeping clean sheets only twice (against Guatemala and Cyprus), scoring 38 goals and conceding 35.
Greece

  • Greece could lose back-to-back games for the first time since June 2010.
  • Coincidentally, those two defeats came against South American then Asian opposition - they lost a warm-up game against Paraguay before being defeated by South Korea in their first World Cup match.
  • They have failed to keep a clean sheet at the World Cup, conceding an average of 2.6 goals per game - the highest ratio of any side in Brazil.
  • Four of the last eight World Cup goals Greece have conceded have come from set pieces.
  • Greece have lost six of seven games at World Cups, failing to score in all those defeats.

Uruguay v England

[h=2]2014 FIFA WORLD CUP[/h]
  • Venue: Arena de Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo
  • Date: Thursday 19 June
  • Kick-off:20:00 BST

[h=2]TEAM NEWS[/h]Uruguay striker Luis Suarez has been declared fit to play following knee surgery and is expected to start.
Captain Diego Lugano is out with a knee injury, with Jorge Fucile expected to replace banned right-back Maxi Pereira.
England manager Roy Hodgson must decide whether to keep faith with Wayne Rooney following a ninth World Cup game without scoring against Italy.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is back in training following a knee ligament injury but remains a doubt.
Though Suarez is expected to start, Uruguay coach Oscar Tabarez admits his talisman may not be fully fit for the game in Sao Paulo.
"If he plays, we must consider the possibility that he's not as well as he was during the Premier League season," said Tabarez.
"Even when he's not 100% he's someone who can give a lot to this team. That's what we're considering now."
Tabarez said the Liverpool striker had "recovered well" from his knee surgery on 21 May.
He added: "He's been training and playing with his team-mates during this last week. He's been able to train, but a training session is not the same as a match."
[h=2]MATCH PREVIEW[/h]Beware the wounded animal. Defeats for both countries in their opening match means this fixture is considered must-win.
Whereas the general consensus was that England put in one of their best displays at a major tournament for many a year in their 2-1 loss by Italy, Uruguay were roundly criticised for their lacklustre display in their surprise defeat to Costa Rica.
The build up to the match has been dominated by a tale of two strikers. The fitness of Luis Suarez, Uruguay's all-time goalscorer, a national hero and a scorer of three goals at the last World Cup, is still an ongoing concern as he continues his rehabilitation from knee surgery. Back in full training, whether he can last 90 minutes is another question.
England's Wayne Rooney, just 11 goals shy of Sir Bobby Charlton's all-time England goalscoring record, is not certain to play either. Deployed on the left to begin with against the Italians, he provided his first World Cup assist during the game but his first tournament goal still awaits.

Rooney was spotted training with England's back-up players on Monday, leading to speculation he could be dropped.
He took to his Facebook page to rubbish such suggestions: "I said from the start I want to do everything I can to make sure I'm ready for these World Cup games... That's exactly what I did (on Monday), my own extra training because that's what I wanted to do".
Suarez, the PFA and Football Writers' Player of the Year for the 2013-14 season following his 31-goal haul, has claimed: "I know all the players in the England squad either because they're my team-mates or because I've faced them. They have some defensive flaws we can exploit."
Yet it's comments from Suarez's Anfield strike partner Daniel Sturridge that have stoked the fires ahead of the game after taking a swipe at Suarez's antics against Ghana four years ago.
He said: "I'm going to do anything in my power to win this game, provided it's within the rules of the game, but I'm not going to dive and I'm not going to handball a goal shot because it's not in my nature".
Head-to-head

  • The two nations have previously met twice at the World Cup: Uruguay won 4-2 in the 1954 quarter-finals and the two sides drew 0-0 in the group stage in 1966.
  • They last met in a friendly in March 2006 at Anfield. England won 2-1 with goals by Peter Crouch and Joe Cole.
Uruguay

  • Uruguay continued their run of not winning an opening group game since 1970 with defeat against Costa Rica.
  • They have only won their second group game in one of their last six World Cup appearances. That was a 3-0 victory against hosts South Africa at the last World Cup.
  • Uruguay played twice in Sao Paulo the last time the World Cup was held in Brazil (1950), drawing 2-2 against Spain and winning 3-2 against Sweden.
  • With a population of 3.3 million, Uruguay is the smallest nation at the World Cup.
  • Seventeen members of Oscar Tabarez's 2011 Copa America-winning squad are part of the 23-man party in Brazil.
England

  • Only four teams (8.7%) have progressed to the last 16 after losing their opening game since the current World Cup format was introduced in 1998.
  • England have scored in each of their last eight World Cup encounters with South American sides.
  • They have conceded six goals in their last two World Cup games dating back to 2010. They have never conceded two or more goals in three straight games.
  • Daniel Sturridge has scored three goals in his last four appearances for England.
  • Sixteen of England's last 20 World Cup goals have come before half-time.
  • England recorded their highest-ever World Cup pass completion rate (91%) in the opening match v Italy (1966-2014).
  • Wayne Rooney created more chances than any other player in the England v Italy game (three, including one assist)

Preview: Phillies (32-38) at Cardinals (39-33)

Game: 1
Venue: Busch Stadium
Date: June 19, 2014 8:15 PM EDT

Ten days ago, the Philadelphia Phillies were in the cellar of the NL East and falling out of contention in what is shaping up as baseball's most winnable division.

With victories in seven of nine, they've found new life as they begin a demanding four-game road series with the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday night.

Philadelphia (32-38) set itself up for a season-best fourth straight victory by completing a three-game sweep in Atlanta with Wednesday's 10-5 win. The 18-hit effort was its best of the season with five players collecting three each.

Ryan Howard was among them and drove in two runs for a third straight game after going seven without an RBI, while Marlon Byrd went 3 for 5 with a home run and three RBIs.

"It's a good feeling because you put in the work," Byrd said. "It seems like you've put in the work every single day and don't get the results. The results are the key. You start feeling good about yourself. To come out here the whole series and put up runs against a good staff is huge for us, knowing that the work we've put in is starting to show up on the field."

Howard is a career .368 regular-season hitter in his hometown of St. Louis with nine home runs, 35 RBIs and a 1.207 OPS in 26 games.

The Cardinals (39-33), who have won four straight at home over the Phillies, had a five-game winning streak snapped with Wednesday's 3-2 home loss to the New York Mets.

"Obviously sweeps are better than winning two out of three," Matt Carpenter told the team's official website after homering in a 2-for-4 day. "But at the end of the day, we won another series, and if we can continue that and win the rest of them, we'll be happy with how that works out."

St. Louis has won eight of 10 mostly because of exceptional starting pitching. Cardinals starters have a 1.23 ERA and .175 opponent batting average in those games while allowing more than two runs once.

Shelby Miller (7-5, 3.42 ERA) is next in line to keep it going.

Miller's control issues from early in the season re-emerged in his last outing as he walked four while surrendering a run and four hits in 6 2-3 innings while not earning a decision in Saturday's 4-1 win over Washington.

The right-hander matched a season high with seven strikeouts, and he's allowed one run over 15 2-3 innings in his last two starts after yielding 15 in his previous three.

"I think I'm a little bit more prepared, just maturing a little bit more every single start, it seems like," Miller told the team's official website. "I'm just trying to focus the whole entire game."

Miller won 4-1 in his only start against Philadelphia as a rookie, allowing three hits while striking out six in six scoreless innings July 23. Chase Utley went 2 for 3 against him.

Miller will be opposed by David Buchanan (2-3, 5.97), whose 7-4 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Saturday ended a three-start losing streak. The right-hander allowed three runs on three home runs and has been tagged for seven homers in his last four starts.

The rookie's run filling in for the injured Cliff Lee could soon be coming to an end with Lee resuming throwing and targeting a potential pre-All Star break return.

Cardinals center fielder Jon Jay is batting .400 in his last 13 games, while catcher Yadier Molina is hitting .158 over 16.

The Walker Group Picks

# 3 ARCTIC MISSILE 5/2

# 6 SIN AND REDEMPTION 20/1

# 9 BIG STAGE 10/1

ARCTIC MISSILE is my choice. Jordan has this gelding travelling well and is a formidable choice based on the very good Equibase Speed Figs put up in route races lately. Has been consistently racing well lately. Is tough not to consider based on Equibase Speed Figs which have been very good - 62 avg - of late. SIN AND REDEMPTION - Formidable average speed figures in dirt route races make this horse a contender. Is hard not to consider given the company run in lately. BIG STAGE - Is a solid contender - given the 71 Equibase Speed Fig from his most recent race. He has strong class ratings, averaging 77, and has to be given consideration in this contest.

RECOMMENDED CHOICES

The Walker Group Picks

# 1 EYE ON TRAFFIC 7/2

# 9 WILLIE FAST 5/2

# 7 JESS JOYOUS 10/1

EYE ON TRAFFIC is the strongest bet in this race. Is worth looking at and may be a bet - strong speed figs (68 average) at today's distance and surface recently. This equine enters today's race with second time Lasix. Could beat this group given the 68 Equibase Speed Figure earned in his last outing. WILLIE FAST - The speed figure of 55 from her most recent race looks very strong in here. JESS JOYOUS - This filly with Silva in the saddle makes her a solid contender.

#3 LA REINA DE IOWA (ML=4/1)
#2 LADY POET (ML=7/2)

LA REINA DE IOWA - Early zip is always important in horse racing, but the lone speed horse is always dangerous. This filly surprised everybody by finishing second May 25th. A thoroughbred coming back this rapidly after a sharp race is a good signal. This filly should improve after adding Lasix in the last race and getting it again today. LADY POET - A horse coming back this promptly after a strong effort is a good sign.

Vulnerable Contenders: #5 CHANCE TO DANCE (ML=1/1),

CHANCE TO DANCE - Difficult to take this racer at this price after the finish (fifth) in the last event.

#6 SCOOTER BIRD (ML=7/2)
#4 WARREN'S ROSEBUD (ML=3/1)

SCOOTER BIRD - This filly should give a good showing of herself in today's affair. WARREN'S ROSEBUD - Atop this animal on May 30th and Desormeaux is yet again in the irons this time. Another way to determine class is earnings per start. This horse has the uppermost in the group. I think she'll be close at the finish line.

Vulnerable Contenders: #5 ANOTHER SKY (ML=9/5), #2 REMARKABLE MOON (ML=5/2), #3 HEY PRETTY GIRL (ML=6/1),

ANOTHER SKY - She only beat a maiden claiming field in the last clash. Have to pass on this horse versus winners for now. REMARKABLE MOON - Earned a mediocre speed rating last time around the track in a $40,000 Optional Claiming race on May 18th. Improbable to see an improved performance off of that fig. HEY PRETTY GIRL - This horse hasn't been around in either of her last two outings.

Race 4 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet: BET YA (8th)

Spot Play: IGNITE THE NITE (11th)

Race 1

(6) RED SOLO CUP hasn't missed the board in two starts this season, draws well and shows the most speed in this contest. (4) NOBLE FLIRT was flying at the end of the mile in his latest and is rounding into form. (2) JACK LITTEN draws inside and showed a speedy 1:57 1/5 effort in hit latest.

Race 2

(6) DELIRIUM posted a speedy qualifier in his latest and might offer a fair price. She comes from a high percentage barn and gets Filion in the bike. (8) DANA DEAREST will be popular once again and is a prime threat for top honours. She's won three of four this season and faces an easier group. (4) STELLLLLLLA closed very well in her latest with a :27 final frame and can only improve in her second start of the season.

Race 3

(4) RAISE THE CURTAIN comes out of the Goodtimes and faces much easier field. He draws well, has a good record this season and comes out of the Jones barn. (9) DREAM ROCKER raced very well in his latest considering it was his first start of the season. He's versatile and a good option for the triactor.

Race 4

(2) EAGLE MOLLY is a perfect one-for-one this season, draws inside and comes out of the McNair barn. (1) KESONS SILHOUTTE is fresh off a victory over a sloppy track, has a good record this season and will offer a price. (7) WISHFUL LUCK closed well in her latest to finish third and has displayed the speed needed to be competitive in this event.

Race 5

(4) NEVERSAIDIWASSWEET raced well to finish fourth in her latest considering she began from a post 10 start. She gets major post relief in here and may offer a fair price. (10) SHELLYSSILVERMOON has been racing very consistent this season in her five starts and continues to show quick speed. (1) NARCIAN JEWEL lands inside and could threaten.

Race 6

(2) TWIN BY SPY comes out of the Coleman barn, draws inside and has been improving in each start this season. (5) SOME MAJOR BEACH raced fair in his latest and is capable of a better effort. He raced in the Breeders Crown last season and should be a main threat in here. (6) WEATHERLY closed very well in his latest with a :27 final frame. He has the speed and will offer a fair price.

Race 7

(1) MURRAYFIELD gets the rail, comes out of the Wallace barn and closed very well in her latest. She has a good record this season and has missed the board once from five starts this season. (6) HIGH FLYIN SARA doesn't have the best record this season, but raced very strong two back in the debut of trainer McNair. I'm looking for a turnaround effort. (8) PLAYED BY ANANGEL has a 2-1-0 record from three starts this season and went a speedy mile in her latest at Grand River.

Race 8

(6) BET YA has won two straight and three of six this season. She looks like the filly to beat. (10) CAN ART will have to overcome post 10, but has gate speed and put together a much better performance in her latest. (1) AN ANGEL SHES NOT gets the rail and will offer a price in this contest. She went a speedy mile over at Georgian against older fillies and mares and poses as a threat for the triactor.

Race 9

(7) MISTER HERBIE qualified once to start the season and is hard to overlook based on what he did last year. (8) INTIMIDATE strikes as the main threat for MISTER HERBIE after winning this event last week. (9) MEGO MOSS has hit the board in each of his last four starts in this class and is hard to overlook for the triactor.

Race 10

(4) GOLDIES MACH is fresh off a win, comes out of the Menary barn and has been racing consistently in each of her four starts this season. (3) IM SHAMELESS continues to offer quick speed, draws well and comes from a high percentage trainer. (1) EXHILARATED gets the rail and will offer a price. She posted a quick final quarter in her latest and has been better in recent outings.

Race 11

(2) IGNITE THE NITE has the speed and draws inside. I'm hoping for a fair price as I feel she's due for a big effort. (6) A ROUND N ABOUT comes out of the Robinson barn and has hit the board in each of her last two. (3) NOBLE JILLY has been racing better in recent starts, draws inside and gets Drury in the bike.

Yonkers: Thursday 6/19 Analysis
By Derick Giwner

DRF HARNESS

MEET STATS: 10 - 24 / $43.60 BEST BETS: 2 - 2 / $6.40

Best Bet: CABBIES DELIGHT (8th)

Spot Play: SIR LB’S Z TAM (6th)

Race 1

(3) IDEAL FASHION won his two non-stakes starts and doesn't exactly face the toughest NYSS division tonight. (1) WESTERN CONQUEST has been racing well but settling for second. He has a big shot if hustled away to come away no worse than second. (2) MOLIERE HANOVER gets a driver change to Sears but is only 1-for-13 lifetime.

Race 2

(3) ON THE PODIUM is down in class and figures to be hustled to the front. (6) NORTHERN SPARK is another facing easier foes; very capable. (5) ALL MUNKY BUSINESS returns to Yonkers in a higher class but this is within her realm. (7) SEAGRAM hails from a good barn; outside post hurts.

Race 3

(4) BETTOREVER has improved in each start this year and looks to have found the right spot to break into the win column. (2) DOUBLE YOUR BET will be leaving for the Burke barn; dangerous. (1) BETTOR BELIEVE IT should be a player if able to protect his inside position.

Race 4

(3) JENERAL PATTON has to prove he can handle the half-mile track here, but this Art Major-sired colt seems a step or two faster than this bunch. (1) SIR SAM'S Z TAM has proved he can fire out of the pocket and he seems likely to get that trip on Thursday. (2) STAY UP LATE finishes well every start; stays close enough?

Race 5

(2) LIVE JAZZ comes in for a winning barn with form. Add Tim Tetrick to the equation and you should have a live play. (1) RINGSIDE MUSCLE arrives at Yonkers and lucked into pylon position; using. (5) JAILHOUSE FUNK raced well the last time Sears was in the bike.

Race 6

(1) SIR LB'S Z TAM draws best and figures to find her groove against this weak field. (3) TASHIA gets class relief and figures to improve. (4) TIGER BOUDOIR wouldn't be a shock but certainly lacks form.

Race 7

(4) RIGHT ON MOLLY makes a subtle switch in conditions and might find this group a bit more to her liking. There are no standouts in this field and almost any of these mares could score. (3) ROCK N SOUL has class but sketchy form. (1) DENYITTOTHEEND has inside position and won her last start.

Race 8

(4) CABBIE'S DELIGHT has been a new horse since switching barns. This son of Bettor's Delight should roll over this group. (1) ARCHETTO HANOVER has looked good but must go faster now; bottom of cold exacta. (3) GREAT AMERICAN adds Sears; makes a difference?

Race 9

(1) ROCKAVELLIAN returns to Yonkers at a reduced level for a top barn; logical. (5) LUCKY LUCKY LEO raced very well in the Jackpot series but he'll need a trip due to a lack of high early speed. (4) BY A TIME gets a driver change to Bartlett.

Race 10

(6) BAKERSFIELD gets some serious class relief and should be pointed down the road. (1) SKYPE HANOVER draws better this time and driver Jason Bartlett should use that to his advantage. (7) MURDER HE WROTE has some ability but is stuck outside.

Race 11

(5) CAPITAL ACCOUNT can fly off the gate, which will serve him well on the half-mile surface at Yonkers. I can see him waking up in this spot. (7) EL BLOOMBITO has looked very good but shows some breaks and needs to prove himself on the smaller oval. (6) IDEAL COWBOY couldn’t handle them in the North America Cup. This is obviously easier.

Race 12

(6) GRACE SEELSTER rolled through the Jackpot series and should get the jump on this field. (1) CAVIART CARA figures to protect her inside position. (8) I DO IT MYSELF would be the clear favorite from a better post; mixed feelings.
